DRAFT F:ATTORNEY\RESWORK\ CURRENT\ TxDOT Plans - audible Traffic Signals Res May 6, 2005 RESOLUTION NO. _______________ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FINAL PLANS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF MISCELLANEOUS WORK CONSISTING OF AUDIBLE TRAFFIC SIGNAL INSTALLATION (STATE PROJECT NO. C 45-9-84) IN THE PLAZA AREA OF DOWNTOWN PARIS; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Council has been made aware of the requests for audible traffic signals in the Plaza area of downtown Paris and the City of Paris is agreeable to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) installation of said audible traffic signals (State Project No. C 45-9-84); and, WHEREAS, it is deemed in the best interest of the citizens of the City of Paris for TxDOT to install said audible traffic signals in the Plaza area of downtown Paris; and, WHEREAS, the TxDOT Audible Traffic Signal Project should in all things be approved, and the Mayor of the City of Paris should be authorized to execute the title sheet for said project plans; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble of this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That the Texas Department of Transportation final plans for the construction of miscellaneous work consisting of audible traffic signal installation (State Project No. C 45-9-84) in the Plaza area of downtown Paris is hereby approved. Section 3. That the Mayor of the City of Paris be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paris the title sheet for the final plans for said audible traffic signal project. Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after the date of passage.
