MINUTES SPECIAL MEETING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT CITY HALL WEST ANNEX CONFERENCE ROOM PARIS, TEXAS MONDAY APRIL 18, 2005 12:00 O’CLOCK NOON 1.The Board of Adjustment Board meeting was called to order by Vice-Chairman John Mark Spencer at 12:00 p.m. A.The following members were present: Rodney Bass Howard Corriston Kyle McCarley Alternate:David Glass B.The following members were absent: Terry Christian Alternate:Richard Manning C.Also present was Lisa Wright, Director of Community Development, Larry Schenk, City Attorney, and Linda Ridder with Paris Living . 2. Public Hearing to consider the petition of Paris Living by Linda Ridder granting a variance of Zoning Ordinance 1710, Sections 9-501 and 9-502, to allow a front yard setback for a new single family home on Lot 1, Block 4 (CDC Addition), located at 451 3rd Street SW, to line up with other houses on this mostly residential street in the Central Area District (CA) which is a non- Lisa Wright residential district according to said Sections 9-501 and 9-502. explained to the Board that, according to the zoning ordinance, the Central Area District (CA) is not a residential district; therefore, Paris Living was not automatically authorized to build the front of the building in line with the other houses on the street since the ordinance only allows that without the necessity of a variance in residential districts. She told the Board Linda Ridder was present if they had any questions. 3.
