<br />MINUTES <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br />CITY HALL WEST ANNEX <br />CONFERENCE ROOM <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />MONDAY APRIL 18, 2005 <br />12:00 O’CLOCK NOON <br />1.The Board of Adjustment Board meeting was called to order by Vice-Chairman <br />John Mark Spencer at 12:00 p.m. <br />A.The following members were present: <br />Rodney Bass <br />Howard Corriston <br />Kyle McCarley <br />Alternate:David Glass <br />B.The following members were absent: <br />Terry Christian <br />Alternate:Richard Manning <br />C.Also present was Lisa Wright, Director of Community Development, <br />Larry Schenk, City Attorney, and Linda Ridder with Paris Living <br />. <br />2. <br />Public Hearing to consider the petition of Paris Living by Linda Ridder <br />granting a variance of Zoning Ordinance 1710, Sections 9-501 and 9-502, to <br />allow a front yard setback for a new single family home on Lot 1, Block 4 <br />(CDC Addition), located at 451 3rd Street SW, to line up with other houses on <br />this mostly residential street in the Central Area District (CA) which is a non- <br /> Lisa Wright <br />residential district according to said Sections 9-501 and 9-502. <br />explained to the Board that, according to the zoning ordinance, the Central <br />Area District (CA) is not a residential district; therefore, Paris Living was not <br />automatically authorized to build the front of the building in line with the other <br />houses on the street since the ordinance only allows that without the <br />necessity of a variance in residential districts.
