Deliberate and act on RESOLUTION NO. 2012-010: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY <br />COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, AUTH:ORIZING AND APPROVING <br />THE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PARIS AND <br />STEVE COKER TO MANAGE, INSTRUCT AND COORDINATE THE SOFTBALL <br />PROGRAM FOR THE CITY OF PARIS; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND <br />PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE. <br />A Motion to approve this item was inade by Council Member Grossnickle and seconded <br />by Council Meinber Frierson. Motion carried, 7 ayes - 0 nays. <br />18. Deliberate and act on RESOLUTION NO. 2012-011: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY <br />COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING <br />THE EXECUTION OF AN AIRPORT PROJECT PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT <br />WITH TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AVIATION TO APPLY <br />FOR FEDERAL FUNDING FOR IMPROVEMENTS AT COX FIELD AIRPORT; <br />MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; <br />AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />A Motion to approve this item was made by Council Member McCarthy and seconded by <br />Counci] Member Pickle. Motion carried, 7 ayes - 0 nays. <br />Mayor Hashmi moved to item 23. <br />23. Convene into Executive Session: <br />• Pursuant to Section 551.074 of the Texas Govermnent Code, to deliberate the <br />appointinent, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or <br />dismissal of a public officer or employee as follows: review applications for the <br />position of City Manager. <br />• Pursuant to Section 551.087 of the Texas Government Code to (1) discuss or <br />deliberate regarding commercial or financial infonnation that the governmental <br />body has received from a business prospect that the governmental body seeks to <br />have locate, stay, or expand in or near the territory of the governmental body and <br />with which the governmental body is conducting economic development <br />negotiations; or (2) to deliberate the offer of a financial or other incentive to a <br />business prospect described by Subdivision (1). <br />• Pursuant to Section 551.074 of the Texas Government Code, to deliberate the <br />appointment, employlnent, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or <br />dismissal of a public officer or employee as follows: Annual evaluations of the <br />City Manager, City Attorney, and Municipal Court Judge. <br />Mayor Hashmi convened City Council into Executive Session at 8:18 p.m. <br />- 008 <br />
