<br />MINUTES <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD <br />COX FIELD AIRPORT TERMINAL <br />MEETING ROOM <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />THURSDAY, MAY 19, 2005 <br />5:30 O’CLOCK P.M. <br />1.The Airport Advisory Board meeting was called to order by Chairman Vic <br />Ressler, Jr. at 5:30 p.m. <br />A.The following members were present: <br />Glenn Chapman <br />Harry Michaelwicz <br />Jack Ashmore <br />Don Morrell <br />B.The following members were absent: <br />James Proctor <br />Andrew Fasken <br />C.Also present was Lisa Wright, Airport Director, and J. B. Richey and <br />Jerry Richey, Airport Managers. <br />2. Minutes of the March 17, 2005, <br />Approval of minutes from previous meetings. <br />and April 21, 2005, meetings were accepted as presented. <br />3. Lisa Wright <br />Discussion of ways to enhance public relations at the Airport. <br />reported that she had spoken with Charles Richards of the Paris News, and <br />he said they were willing to print weekly activity reports submitted by the <br />Airport. Don Morrell recommended that we invite more school tours and then <br />send something to the paper about them. Glenn Chapman recommended an <br />open house with all the planes lined up on the ramp. <br />4. <br />Discussion of possible plans to conduct fly-ins or air shows at the Airport. <br />Jack Ashmore stated that fly-ins would be the easiest to organize, but that <br />they usually only had pilot participation. The Board agreed that Jae Crowell <br />had put on the best recent fly-in. Harry Michaelwicz stated that airshows <br />usually require admission. Vic Ressler appointed Glenn Chapman, Jack <br />Ashmore, and Billy Copeland to a committee to study airshows and report <br />back. Lisa Wright recommended a fly-over at the Pumpkin Festival, and Glenn <br />Chapman said they could put that together. <br /> <br />
