<br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE <br />BUILDING AND STANDARDS COMMISSION <br />Monday, June 20, 2005 <br />4:00 P.M. <br />1.Chad Brown called the Building and Standards Commission Meeting to <br />order at 4:00 P.M. <br />Roll was called. <br />A.The following members were present: <br />Chad BrownGreg Wilson <br />Harrell Tippitt Brad Archer <br />Ryan LassiterPike Burkhart <br />B.The following members were absent: <br />Mary CrumplerLucius Joe, Jr. <br />Ward Hall <br />2.Approval of Minutes of previous meeting: <br />A motion was made by Pike Burkhart to approve the meeting minutes <br />from April 18, 2005, and Harrell Tippitt seconded the motion. The motion <br />carried unanimously <br />3.Public hearing to consider presentations by City of Paris Code Inspectors <br />and owner(s) and/or lien holder(s) of the below properties who have been <br />given notice of a violation of Article III of Chapter 7 of the Code of <br />Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, entitled A Substandard and <br />Dangerous Buildings and Structures: <br />th <br />A.1120 and 1046 4 Street N.W., Part of Lot 1, City Block 97 <br />Chad Brown made a motion to bring this item to the table. Pike Burkhart <br />seconded the motion. <br />Chad Brown made a motion that the building be demolished within 30 <br />days with a $1000 per day civil penalty and, if the building is not <br />demolished within the 30 day time period, the City will demolish the <br />building.
