M. <br />Minutes of the last PEDC board meeting were reviewed and approved. Sims Norment made the motion and <br />Mike Dunn seconded the approval. <br />The Financial report was read through by Gene Anderson. Gene went over the report and discussed the <br />$425,000 in Liberty. $350,000 has been transferred to MBIA leaving $75,000 in Liberty. Dick Severson <br />asked a loan question about Paris Packaging and C- Tech. Dick and the group also addressed the fact that C- <br />Tech is listed under General in the audit. Rodney Bass made a motion to accept the report and Mike Dunn <br />seconded. <br />Regarding the consideration and action on a request for tax abatement from Turner International Pipe. Sims <br />Norment made a motion to grant the abatement and Rodney Bass seconded. <br />Regarding the consideration and action on a Program of Work for 2005-2006. Gary Vest gave some <br />comment, Dick Severson made a motion to accept the Program of Work for 2005-2006 and Rodney Bass <br />seconded. <br />Regarding the consideration and action on a budget for 2005-2006. Rodney Bass made a motion to accept <br />the budget and Sims Norment seconded. <br />The director's report was given by Gary Vest. <br />Gary discussed: <br />1. Project BAM came back to visit 3 Texas towns and 1 Oklahoma town. Paris did not make the list. <br />2. C- Tech's plans and building design <br />The chairman's report was given by Don Wall. <br />Don discussed: <br />1. Several new highway projects <br />2. The public hearing regarding the overpass on the Loop <br />3. The opening of a new TxDOT office in Greenville <br />4.
