<br />INTER GOVERNMENT AL AGREEMENT <br /> <br />STATE OF TEXAS <br /> <br />) <br />) <br />) <br /> <br />KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: <br /> <br />COUNTY OF LAMAR <br /> <br />THAT, the CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, a municipal corporation, acting by and <br /> <br />through its Mayor, Curtis Fendley, duly authorized, hereinafter called CITY, and the PARIS <br /> <br />INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT, acting by and through its Superintendent, Paul Trull, <br /> <br />duly authorized, hereinafter called PISD, do hereby contract and agree as follows: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />CITY agrees to provide the services of a total of three (3) School Resource <br />Officers to serve all PISD campuses during the term of this Agreement. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />The primary duty station of said Resource Officers shall be the various campuses <br />of PISD, as assigned by the Paris Police Department in conjunction with <br />appropriate officials ofPISD. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />The ordinary work shift for said officers shall be forty (40) hours per week, five <br />(5) days per week, or as otherwise agreed between the parties. If said officers are <br />requested by PISD to serve in excess of eighty (80) hours during any given two <br />(2) week pay period, any overtime accrued as a consequence of said service shall <br />be charged to PISD. <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />During their assignment to their primary duty station, said officers shall perform <br />such duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Paris Police Department in <br />conjunction with appropriate officials ofPISD. <br /> <br />5. <br /> <br />In the event of an emergency away from the primary duty station, as identified <br />by the Paris Police Department, said officers may be diverted by the Paris Police <br />Department away from their primary duty station to assist other officers in <br />responding to said emergency, for so long as said emergency circumstances shall <br />continue. At the conclusion of the emergency circumstance, said officers shall <br />return to their primary duty stations at PISD. <br /> <br />6. <br /> <br />F or and in consideration of the services described above, PISD agrees to pay to <br />CITY the sum of $152,697.00 for the services to be provided under this <br />Agreement, payable in twelve (12) equal monthly payments of$12,724.75. <br /> <br />7. <br /> <br />Each party paying for the performance of governmental service under this <br />Agreement shall make those payments from current revenues available to the <br />paying party. <br /> <br />EXHIBIT A. <br /> <br />I <br />
