Motion to approve the minutes
of the June 27, 2005, meeting was made by Paul Denney, seconded by Sue
Lancaster. Motion carried 6-0.

3.

Consideration of and action on the following Certificates of Appropriateness:

A.

28 W. Plaza - Joey Sleeper. Joey Sleeper has demolished part of the
storefront and found a few surprises. The majority of the brick is
covered with plaster. Mr. Sleeper is negotiating the removal of the
plaster to determine the condition of the brick underneath. Mr. Sleeper
is okay with the Texas Historical Commission's recommendation but
is not sure if the clear story windows with the 3 x 4 divided light are
more appropriate than the 3 x 3 divided light. Motion by Sue Lancaster
to approve with three changes: (1) put in transom windows with 3 x 3
panels (2) show windows on the first floor would have one divided
mullion, and (3) place side lights at a 45 degree angle, seconded by
Barbara Wilson. Motion carried 6-0.

I
