Head - Executive Director <br />Mike Folmar- Chairman of the Board of Commissioners <br />Joe McCarthy - Commissioner of the Board of Commissioners <br />Matt Ptachek - Commissioner of the Board of Commissioners <br />T K HaYnes - PHA Legal Counsel <br />Sally Gibson - Assistant Director - PHA <br /> <br />Marionetta Garvin on Behalf of Maxine Rucker - former Applicant <br /> <br />Meeting Called to order at 12:35 pm on Tuesday, August 16,2005 by Chairman of the <br />Board of Commissioners, Mike Folmar. <br /> <br />Board of Commissioners approved the minutes of July 19,2005 Meeting. Motion made <br />by Joe McCarthy and seconded by Matt Ptachek. Minutes approved 3-0. <br /> <br />Ms. Marionetta Garvin spoke in behalf of Maxine Rucker - Ms. Rucker was removed <br />from Section 8 Waiting List due to her mail being returned - vacant: unable to forward. <br />She claimed that the address change was a lack of communication. <br />1. Joe McCarthy made a motion to table the action. Matt Ptachek seconded the <br />motion. <br />2. After Ms. Garvin exited the meeting, Joe McCarthy made a motion to untable the <br />action and make a decision. Matt Ptachek seconded the motion. <br />3. Joe McCarthy made a motion not to reinstate Ms. Rucker due to the fact of the <br />Housing Authority's Policy, setting precedence, and the discrimination of other <br />applicants. The motion was seconded by Matt Ptachek and the Board of <br />Commissioners voted not to reinstate Ms. Rucker 3-0. <br /> <br />Director's Report: Denny R. Head, Executive Director, went over several items for the <br />benefit of the Commissioners: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />Financial Report - More reserves and more invested than there has been in the <br />(at least) last nine years. <br />Preparation for REAC Inspection - Many projects going on presently to <br />prepare for the REAC Inspection. Approximately 75% complete on all items <br />found by Hired Inspector that came in and inspected all buildings and units <br />prior to the end of our fiscal year. There is plenty of time before the REAC <br />inspection to complete all items. The Paris HA should be in good shape at the <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />r <br /> <br />I <br />
