<br />MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING <br />PARIS-LAMAR COUNTY BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> <br />The Paris-Lamar County Board of Health held its regular meeting Tuesday, June 21, 2005, at <br />the Paris-Lamar County Health Department. Board members in attendance include Dr. Robert <br />Moseley, Dr. Caroline Wilson, Dr. Bert Strom, Dr. Wally Kraft and Dr. David Carpenter. <br />Others in attendance included Judge Chuck Superville, Mr. Tony Williams, Mr. Anthony <br />Bethel, Ms. Martha J 0 Anderson and Mrs. Carla Rhodes. <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 6:15 PM. <br /> <br />. . <br /> <br />Minutes of previous meeting approved with motion made by Dr. Bert Strom, second by Dr. <br />David Carpenter and motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br />... <br /> <br />Mr. Bethel presented proposed FY2006 budget for Health Department and explained proposed <br />budget line by line to the board members. <br /> <br />Dr. Carpenter states Quest Diagnostics Incorporated might give the Health Department a better <br />price break for lab test than what Lab-Corp is charging. <br /> <br />Ms. Anderson states she is trying to find the best prices on birth control pills for Health <br />Department to purchase. <br /> <br />Dr. Carpenter suggested using generic birth control pills and get prices through CVS Pharmacy. <br /> <br />Dr. Carpenter requested Mr. Bethel to present board members the total cost, from all grants, on <br />the following items: Travel Expense and how many people attended meetings, all utilities and <br />telephone charges with how many phone lines. <br /> <br />Mr. Williams suggested volume purchasing. <br /> <br />Dr. Kraft suggested going to DSHS for help and then going to Mark Homer for help, to get <br />monies for Grants. <br /> <br />Judge S uperville talked about approaching the Commissioners Court concerning raising septic <br />system fees. . <br /> <br />T <br /> <br />I <br />
