T

August 18, 2005
Page 2

understanding that the lessee would be responsible to the City for the entire
lease amount.

Item 2.H. was revised to permit certain activities in aT-Hangar so long as the
tenant has a permit from the City.

Item 2.Q. will be revised to permit tenants to drive from hangar to hangar in
accordance with the ACM.

Item 2.R. - Motion for this item to be deleted was made by Jack Ashmore,
seconded by Bill Boothe. Motion carried 4-0.

4.

Receipt from the fly-in and air show subcommittees. Billy Copeland was not
present to give the briefing of the fly-in and air show. Harry Michaelwicz
followed up on the Denton Air Show, it was held the first of June and it was
not as they anticipated. They only had 5,000 people to show up-for a town of
150,000 population, that is a low percentage. The average ticket admission
was $1 O.OO-for a family admission the cost would be about $40.00 or $50.00.
His recommendation for this area is to try to get organizations to implement
a fly-in-not for the city to put on an air show because of all the expenditures
that would be incurred with an air show. Harry talked with the people who
organized the Denton Air Show and was told that they barely broke even. A
fly-in would have a good economic impact. Jim Bell stated that the fly-in that
Eric Clifford brought in all the T -6's and they did the formation fly-ins and
other demonstrations over the field. It was a really good one that filled up all
the hotels.

Jim Bell stated that they would like to have an event for Mark Homer on
October 22 in Mr. Townes' hangar. Permission is requested for parking on the
grassy area next to the highway on Collier Drive and for people to be taken in
by golf cart. They would like to display aircraft for the people who will be out
walking around. Mr. Townes will be providing food and beverages. Jim
stated that the event would begin around 4:00 and last until around 8:00 or
8:30. Lisa Wright told Mr. Bell to contact to make arrangements for parking.

5.

Receipt of report from the Airport Director. Ms. Wright reported that the FAA
had recently completed an inspection and everything was clear. Jerry Richey
advised that the FAA recommended that the City paint the runway stripes.
Additionally, there will be minor revisions to the new manual.

Jack Ashmore stated that Scotts Signs will be putting up a huge sign above
the door, "Welcome to the Hall of Military Aviation-Paris, Texas" with all kinds

I
