<br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY
<br />OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY
<br />THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C)
<br />ON LOT 2, CITY BLOCK 322, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO THE CITY OF PARIS,
<br />SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS AN
<br />AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT (A); DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE
<br />COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) SO ESTABLISHED; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT
<br />TO EXCEED $2,000.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES
<br />IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF APRIL
<br />1, 1998.
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COLINCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS:
<br />Section 1. That the boundaries heretofore established by the Zoning Map and Ordinance
<br />No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby, changed, and that a
<br />COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) be, and the same is hereby, established on LOT 2, CITY BLOCK
<br />322, on property belonging to the CITY OF PARIS, so as to include in such COMMERCIAL
<br />DISTRICT (C) the hereinafter described property, which was formerly and is presently designated
<br />as an AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT (A), and that the boundaries of said COMMERCIAL
<br />DISTRICT (C), be, and the same are hereby, established as follows:
<br />SITUATED within the corporate limits of the City of Paris, County of
<br />Lamar, and State of Texas, and being a part of the Redding Russell Survey No.
<br />786, being Lot 2, City Block 322, and being a part of the same property described
<br />in deed from E. W. Lovell and wife, Anna Lovell, to the City of Paris, dated
<br />February 12, 1935, and recorded in Volume 238, Page 621, Deed Records, Lamar
<br />County, Texas, and being more particularly described as follows:
<br />BEGINNING at a point for corner in the North Boundary Line of Loop 286
<br />N.E., and being the Southwest corner of said Lot 2;
<br />THENCE North 20° 16' 28" East a distance of 116.820 feet to a point;
<br />THENCE North 71 ° 00' 32" East a distance of 637.110 feet to a point;
<br />THENCE North 46 ° 09' 14" East a distance of 519.420 feet to a point for
<br />corner;
<br />THENCE South 00° 19' 55" East a distance of 1,268.200 feet to a point for
<br />corner;
<br />THENCE North 89° 53' 41" West a distance of 72.170 feet to a point for
<br />corner in the North Boundary Line of Loop 286 N.E.;
<br />THENCE North 57 ° 09' 00" West along said Boundary Line a distance of
<br />886.900 feet to a point;
<br />THENCE North 57 ° 09' 00" West along said Boundary Line a distance of
<br />186.703 feet to a point;
<br />THENCE North 68 ° 28' 00" West along said Boundary Line a distance of
<br />102.00 feet to a point;
<br />THENCE North 57 ° 09' 00" West along said Boundary Line a distance of
<br />138.280 feet to the place of beginning and containing approximately 14.555 acres,
<br />being number 1625 Loop 286 N.E.
<br />Section 2. That the Chief Building Official of the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby,
<br />directed to change the Zoning Map of the City of Paris in accordance with the provisions of
<br />Ordinance No. 1710 and the land use map accompanying the same, and in accordance with the
<br />provisions of this ordinance.
<br />5ection 3. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of
<br />a Misdemeanor, and, upon conviction, shall be fined in any sum not to exceed $2,000.00, and
<br />each and every day's continuance of any violation of the above enumerated sections shall constitute
<br />and be deemed a separate offense.
