ORDINANCE NO. 98-049 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 97-019, PASSED ON THE 14TH DAY OF APRIL, 1997; PERMITTING TIME FOR REPAIIt OF THE STRUCTURE OTHERWISE DECLARED DILAPIDATED AT 1127 7TH STREET N.E., BEING LOTS 9-A AND 9-B, CITY BLOCK 93-B, BELONGING TO JERRY WOODS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF SEPTEMBER 14, 1998. WHEREAS, Steve Methven, Chief Building Official, appeared before the City Council at its Regular Meeting oi1 the lOth day of August, 1998, and requested that Jerry Woods be permitted to repair and bring into Code compliance the structure heretofore declared to be dilapidated at 1127 7th Street N.E., being Lots 9-A and Lot 9-B, City Block 93-B, since the property changed ownership during the condemnation process, being without notice of the necessity of appearing before tlie City Council at its regular meeting on April 10, 1997 when the ordiilance declaring the structure at said address to be dilapidated and ordering the removal of the same was passed; and, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris deems it to be in the best interests of the City of Paris that its citizen, Jerry Woods, be given one hundred eighty (180) days to repair and bring into Code requirements the structure at 1127 7th Street N. E. , being Lots 9-A and 9-B, City Block 93-B; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section 1. That 1127 7th Street N.E.. being Lots 9-A aild 9-B, City Block 93-B, in the list that appears in Section 2 of Ordinance No. 97-019, be, and the same is hereby, atnended so that March 16, 1999, shall be listed thereafter. Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. Section 3. This ordinance shall become effective o» September 14, 1998.
