ORDINANCE NO. 98-051 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT <br />THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE AMENDED BY REVISING <br />SUBPARAGRAPH (b) TO SECTION 16-42 OF SAID CODE; SETTING THE <br />RESIDENTIAL TRASH PICKUP FEE; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF <br />ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE OF OCTOBER 1, 1998. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE. CITY OF PARIS: <br />Section 1. That Section 16-42 (b) of tlle Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, <br />Texas, be, and the same is hereby, amended so that suc11 shall read as follows: <br />"Sec. 16-42. Fees established. <br />°(b) A residential trash pickup fee ofseven dollars and fifty cents ($7.50) is established <br />for each residential unit. The occupant of a residential uiiit who dwells in a multifamily <br />complex consisting of four (4) units or mare, whose landlord has aii annual trash pickup <br />service contract witll an approved commercial trash collector is entitled to make <br />application, direct or through his landlord, to the department to be exempt from the seven <br />dollars and fifty cents ($7.50) resideiitial unit trash pickup fee." <br />Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordina»ces in conflict herewith are hereby expressly <br />repealed. <br />Section 3.
