ORDINANCE NO. 98-056 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY THE ZOIVING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) ON LOT 2-A, CITY BLOCK 235, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO DOlVNIE COLLARD, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A NEIGHBORHOOD 5ERVICE DISTRICT (NS); DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) SO ESTABLISHED; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $2,000.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF NOVEMBER 1, 1998. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section 1. That the boundaries heretofore established by the Zoning Map and Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby, changed, and that a COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) be, and the same is hereby, established on LOT 2-A, CITY BLOCK 235, on property belonging to DONNIE COLLARD, so as to include in such COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) the hereinafter described property, which was formerly and is presently designated as a NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICE DISTRICT (NS), and that the boundaries of said COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C), be, and the same are hereby, established as follows: SITUATED within the corporate limits of the City of Paris, County of Lamar, and State of Texas, being a part of the John Herrington Survey, being Lot 2-A, City Block 235, also being the same property described in deeds to the Glew Joint Revocable Trust, dated December 29, 1993, of record in Volume 411, Pages 144 and 146, Lamar County Real Property Records, and being more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at a stake in the Southwest corner of Lot 2-A, City Block 235; THENCE East a distance of 140 feet to a stake for corner in the Southeast corner of said tract; THENCE North a distance of 85 feet to a stake for corner in the Northeast corner of said tract; THENCE West a distance of 150 feet to a stake for corner in the Northwest corner of said tract; THENCE South a distance of 85 feet to the place of beginning, and being number 1212 19th Street N.W. Section 2. That the Chief Building Official of the City of Paris be, and he is hereby, directed to change the Zoning Map of the City of Paris in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 1710 and the land use map accompanying the same, and in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance.
