<br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT THE
<br /> CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE AMENDED BY REVISING CHAPTER
<br /> 7, ARTICLE V, DIVISION I, SECTION 7-101 OF SAID CODE; PROVIDING FOR
<br /> ADOPTION OF THE STANDARD MECHANICAL CODE, 1994 EDITION; PROVIDING
<br /> FOR THE REPEAL OF CHAPTER 7, ARTICLE V, DIVISION II, SECTIONS 7-111
<br /> THROUGH 7-119 OF 5AID CODE AND DECLARING THE SAME TO BE NULL AND
<br /> VOID AND OF NO EFFECT; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED
<br /> $2,000.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN
<br /> CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF MARCH
<br /> 1, 1996.

<br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS:
<br />
<br /> 5ection 1. That Chapter 7, Article V, Division I, Section 7-101 of the Code of
<br /> Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and the same is hereby, amended so that such
<br /> shall read as follows:
<br />
<br /> "Sec. 7-101. Standard Mechanical Code - Adoption; penalty.
<br />
<br /> "(a) That certain mechanical code known as the Standard Mechanical Code,
<br /> 1994 Edition, save and except such portions as are deleted, modified or amended
<br /> by this article, is hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out at length
<br /> herein. A copy of such Code has been and is now on file in the office of the City
<br /> Clerk, and the provisions thereof shall be controlling within the corporate limits
<br /> of the City.
<br />
<br /> "(b) Any person violating any of the provisions of the Code adopted by this
<br /> section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be fined in
<br /> any sum not to exceed two thousand dollars ($2,000.00), and each and every
<br /> day's continuance of any violation of the provisions thereof shall constitute and
<br /> be deemed a separate offense."
<br />
<br /> Section 2. That Chapter 7, Article V, Division 2, Sections 7-111 through 7-119 of the
<br /> Code of Ordinances, City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby, repealed and
<br /> declared null and void and of no effect.
<br />
<br /> Section 3. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty
<br /> of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be fined in any sum not to exceed $2,000.00, and
<br /> each and every day's continuance of any violation of the above enumerated section shall
<br /> constitute and be deemed a separate offense.
<br />
<br /> Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
<br /> expressly repealed.
<br />
<br /> Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective on March 1, 1996.
<br />
