ORDINANCE NO. 96-054 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A MAXIMUM, REASONABLE AND PRUDENT RATE OF SPEED IN THE AREA OF PUBLIC SCHOOLS ON CERTAIN PORTIONS Or' CERTAIN STREETS AND HIGHWAYS AND PUBLIC PLACES IN THE CITY ON' PARIS; PROVIDING N'OR A N'INE NOT TO EXCEED $200.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONN'LICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN El+'N'ECTIVE DATE OF OCTOBER 1, 1996. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL ON' THE CITY ON' PARIS: Section l. That the following maximum, reasonable and prudeilt rates of speed shall be established in the area of public schools on those portions of the street hereinafter described: T. G. GIVENS KINDE:RGARTEN: On Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive from the west boundary line of 8th Street N.E. to the east boundary line of 6th Street N.E., a speed limit of tweiity (20) miles per hour will be effective on school days during the following hours: 7:15 a. m. to 8:00 a. m. 2:00 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. AIKEN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL: On Pine Mill Road, from the east boundary line of 321ld Street N.E., west a distance of 1640 feet, a speed limit of twenty (20) miles per hour; and, On East Housron Street from dhe east curb line of 31st Street N.E., east to the west curb line of 3211d Street N.E., a speed limit of twenty (20) miles per hour; and, 011 Lamar Ave. (BU 82 H), from the east boundary line of 30th Street N.E., highway Mile Post 10.345, east to the west boundary line of 3211d Street S.E., highway Mile Post 10.545, a speed limit of thirty (30) miles per hour, all of which will be effective on school days during the following hours: 7: I 5 a. m, to 8:00 a. m. 2:45 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. THOMAS JUSTISS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL: On 19th Street N.W. (FM Highway 79), from highway Mile Post 22.014 to highway Mile Post 22.304, a speed limit of twenty (20) miles per hour will be effective on school days during the following hours: 7:I5 a.m. to 8:00 a.an. 2:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. CROCKETT MIDDLE SCHOOL: On South Collegiate Drive from the south curb line of East Hubbard Street, south to the south curb line of Clark Lane; and, On Clark Lane from the east curb line of South Collegiate Drive, east to the east curb line of Johnson Woods Drive, a speed limit of twenty (20) miles per hour will be effective on school days during the following Iiours: 7:10 a. m. to 7:55 a. m. 3:20 p.m. to 3:50 p.m.
