<br /> AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE EXTENSION OF CERTAIN
<br /> BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND THE
<br /> ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY CONSISTING OF 29.72 ACRES, MORE OR
<br /> LESS, WHICH IS LESS THAN TEN PERCENT (10%) OF THE TERRITORY
<br /> INCLUDED WITHIN ITS PRESENT CITY LIMITS, WHICH SAID TERRITORY LIES
<br /> ADJACENT TO AND ADJOINS THE PRESENT BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY
<br /> OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS; APPROVING SERVICE PLAN AND PROVIDING ZONING
<br /> FOR SAID TERRITORY.
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, public hearings before the City Council of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas,
<br /> where a11 interested persons were provided with an opportunity to be heard on the proposed
<br /> annexation of the following described property:
<br />
<br /> Situated in Lamar County, Texas, and being a part of the Redin Russell
<br /> Survey #786, and being part of a 99.54 acre tract of land conveyed Glenn
<br /> Townes and Bobby Smallwood by deed recorded in Volume 410, Page 154, of
<br /> the Real Property Records of said County and State.
<br /> BEGINNING at the southeast corner of a tract of land
<br /> conveyed Richard B. Swint and wife, Susan Brown Swint, by
<br /> Bessie Lee Haynes, et al by deed recorded in Volume 526, Page
<br /> 880, Deed Records, Lamar County, Texas, said point being in the
<br /> present City Limit Line and being an inside ell corner of said
<br /> Townes-Smallwood 99.54 acre tract;
<br /> THENCE South 60 Deg. 28 Min. East a distance of 528.58
<br /> feet to a point;
<br /> THENCE South 1 Deg. 03 Min. East a distance of 560.50
<br /> feet to a point;
<br /> THENCE 53 Deg. 57 Min. West a distance of 325 feet,
<br /> more or less, to the intersecrion with a line that is 600 feet
<br /> northeast of and parallel to the center lilie of the outside lane of
<br /> Loop Highway 286 and said point being in the present City Limit
<br /> Line;
<br /> THENCE Northwesterly with the present City Limit Line,
<br /> said line being 600 feet northeast of and parallel to the outside lane
<br /> of Loop Highway 286, a distance of 1805 feet to a point;
<br /> THENCE North 35 Deg. 47 Min. East, continuing along
<br /> the present City Limit Line, a distance of 680 feet more or less to
<br /> a point in the South Boundary Line of said Swint tract of land;
<br /> THENCE South 60 Deg. 28 Min. East with the present
<br /> City Limit Line, a distance of 828.58 feet, more or less, to the
<br /> place of beginning and containing 29.72 acres of land.

<br /> were held at Paris, Texas, by and before the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of
<br /> Paris, Paris, Texas, on the 3rd day of October, 1994, at 5:30 o'clock p.m. in the Council
<br /> Room, City Ha11, Paris, Texas; by and before the City Council of the City of Paris, Paris,
<br /> Texas, in Regular Session convened on the 6th day of October, 1994, at 6:00 o'clock p.m. in
<br /> the Council Room, City Ha11, Paris, Texas; and, by and before the City Council of the City of
<br /> Paris, Paris, Texas, in Regular Session convened on the lOth day of October, 1994, at 6:00
<br /> o'clock p.m. in the Council Room, City Hall, Paris, Texas, which dates are not more than forty
<br /> (40) nor less than twenty (20) days prior to the institution of annexation proceedings; and,
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, notice of such public hearings was published in a newspaper having general
<br /> circulation in the City of Paris, Texas, and in the above described territory, on the 25th day of
<br /> September, 1994, which date is not more than twenty (20) nor less than ten (10) days prior to
<br /> the date of such public hearings; and,
