<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 95-008 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT <br /> <br /> THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE AMENDED BY REVISING <br /> SECTION 7-47 OF SAID CODE; PROVIDING THAT THE REFERENCE TO DIRECTOR <br /> OF COMMUNITY DAE PE ~ L Y NOT TO EXCEED $2, 00.00; I REPEALO <br /> PROVIDING FOR ING ALL <br /> ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND <br /> PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF FEBRUARY 1, 1995. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: <br /> <br /> Section l. That Section 7-47 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Faris, Paris, <br /> Texas, be amended so that such shall read as follows: <br /> <br /> "Sec. 7-47. Inspection committee created; purpose and composition of <br /> committee. <br /> <br /> There is hereby created a building hazard inspection committee to be an agency <br /> and instrumentality of the City to aid and assist the City in the protection of the lives and <br /> property of its citizens under its charter powers. Such committee shall consist of the city <br /> engineer, the chief of the fire department and the chief building official. In the absence <br /> of the city engineer, or at any time he is unable to act, the director of public works may <br /> act in his place. In the absence of the chief of the fire department, or at any time he is <br /> unable to act, the assistant chief of the fire department may act in his place. In the <br /> absence of the chief building official, or at any time he is unable to act, the tax collector <br /> may act in his place. " <br /> <br /> Section 2. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty <br /> of a Misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be fined in any sum not to exceed $2,000.00, and <br /> each and every day's continuance of any violation of the above enumerated section shall <br /> constitute and be deemed a separate offense. <br /> <br /> Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby <br /> expressly repealed. <br /> <br /> Section 4.
