ORDINANCE NU. 92-006 AN ORDINANCE GF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES: CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, BE AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 3-3(c); PROVIDING FOR THE CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES WITHIN BUILDINGS DESCRIBED WIT'HIN A PRIVATE CLUB PERMIT ISSUED BY THE APPRUPRIATE AGENCY OF THE STATE OF TEXAS; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCE5 IN CONFLICT HEREWITH. BE IT ORDAINEU BY THE C;ITY CQUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Secticn 1. That Paragraph (c) of Section 3-3 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended to read as follows: "(c) The consuffiption of any alcoholic beverage on any public street, sidewalk, park, alley or other public property, or on privafie property commonly used by the public, within the curporate l.imits of the City, is unlawful and is prohibited, except within buildings described within a private club permit issued by the appropriate agency of the State of Texas. It is specifically provided, however, that this section shall not apply to consumptian of alcoholic beverages on privately owned residential parking areas or on privately owned parkir►g lots where a fee is charged for the privilege of parking or storing a motor vehicle. The throwing of any opened container of the type generally used for alcoholic beverages from or out of any vehicle shall be prima facie evidence that the occupants thereof were then and there drinking alcoholic beverages in violation of this section." Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. Section 3. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon passage.
