RESOLUTION N0. 2012-044 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE PARIS ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR OCTOBER 1, 2011, TO SEPTEMBER 30, 2012 TO MATCH EXPENSE LINE ITEMS WITH THEIR 2012-2014 BUSINESS PLAN. THE TOTAL BUDGET DOES NOT CHANGE; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris approved and accepted the Paris Economic Development Corporation Budget for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2011, and ending September 30, 2012; and, WHEREAS, The Paris Economic Development Corporation Board is requesting that their 2011-2012 budget be amended so that expense line items match their 2012-2014 business plan. The total budget does not change; and, WHEREAS, City staff recommends approval of this improvement in the clarity of the Paris Economic Development Corporation budget document as further described in the side by side comparison attached hereto as Exhibit "A", and; WHEREAS, it is appropriate that said amendment be made to the PEDC 2011-2012 Budget and the same should be approved. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That the 2011-2012 Paris Economic Development Corporation Budget be amended as set forth in Exhibit "A" attached so that expense line items match their 2011-2014 business plan, and the same is hereby, approved.
