<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Wastewater Discharge Permit - A permit issued <br /> by the City to a specific user to discharge waste- <br /> water to the sanitary sewer in accordance with the <br /> terms and conditions of these ordinances. (Same as <br /> Wastewater Contributiori Permit). <br /> Wastewater Facilities - All facilities for <br /> collection, pumping, treating, and disposing of <br /> wastewater and industrial wastes. <br /> Wastewater Treatment Plant - Facilities, <br /> devices and structures or receiving, treatment and <br /> disposing of wastewater, industrial wastes and <br /> sludges from the sewer system. <br /> <br /> Waters of the Sta.te - Same as the definition <br /> for "Receiving Waters . <br /> Words, terms, or expressions peculiar to the <br /> art or science of sewage not herein above defined <br /> shall have the respective meanings given in <br /> glossary, water and wastewater control engineering, <br /> published in 1981, prepared by a joint committee <br /> representing American Public Health Association, <br /> American Society of Civil Engineers, American Water <br /> Works Association and the Water Pollution Control <br /> Federation. <br /> Sec. 34-55. Prior User Rights. <br /> <br /> (a). A user contributing wastewater and/or wastes <br /> to the POTW prior to the effective date of this <br /> article may continue to do so without penalty so <br /> long as he complies with the following: <br /> 1) no increase in the quantity or decrease <br /> in the quality of the discharge will be <br /> allowed without written permission of the <br /> supervisor; <br /> 2) prior to the effective date ut this <br /> article, the user must have contributed <br /> waste to the POTW for a minimum of <br /> eighteen (18) months; <br /> 3) a wastewater contribution permit is <br /> applied for and granted within one <br /> hundred fifty (150) days after the <br /> effective date ot this article. <br /> Sec. 34-56. Industrial Advisory Committee. <br /> The city council may appoint an Industrial <br /> Advisory Committee to propose changes or review <br /> proposed changes in the Sewer Use Ordinance. It <br /> shall be made of (5) industrial users, at least (2) <br /> of which shall be significant industrial users. <br /> Sec. 34-57 - 34-70 Reserved. <br /> <br /> DIVISION 2. ADMINISTRATION <br /> Sec. 34-71. Administration by Environmental <br /> Services Supervisor. <br /> <br /> Except as otherwise provided in this article, <br /> the duly authorized representative of the City, <br /> shall be the Environmental Services Supervisor, who <br /> shall administer, implement and enforce the provi- <br /> sions of this article. <br /> <br /> <br /> -11- <br />
