ORDINANCE N0. 92-031 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A MAXIMUM, REASONABLE AND PRUDENT RATE OF SPEED ON CERTAIN PORTIONS OF CEKTAIN STREETS AND HIGHWAYS AND PUBLIC PLACES IN THE CITY OF PARIS; PROVIllING F'OR A FINE NOT TO EXCEED $200.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CUNFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE UF SEPTEMBER 1, 1992. BE IT ORUAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section l. That the tollowing maximum, reasonable and prudent rates of speed shall be established on those portions of the street hereinatter described: "On FM Highway 79 Southeasterly from the West City Limits of Paris, for a distance of approximately 0.430 miles, a speed limit of forty-five (45) miles per hour at all times; Thence southerly a distance of approximately 0.630 miles, a speed limit of forty (40) miles per hour at all times; Thence southerly a distance of approximately 0.619 miles, a speed limit of thirty-five (35) miles per hour at all times, except that a school speed limit of twenty (20) miles per hour will be effective on school days, from milepoint 22.014 to highway milepoint 22.304 only during the following hours: 7:15 A.M. until 8:15 A.M. 2:00 P.M. until 3:30 P.M." Section 2. Any person violating any of the provisions oi this ordinance shall be guilty of a Misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be fined in any sum not to exceed $200.00. Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective on September l, 1992.
