<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE N0. 92-040 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 87-039; ESTABLISHING A <br /> MAXIMUM, REASONABLE AND PRUDENT RATE OF SPEED ON CERTAIN <br /> PORTIONS OF CERTAIN STREETS AND HIGHWAYS AND PUBLIC PLACES IN <br /> THE CITY OF PARIS; PROVIDING FOR A FINE NOT TO EXCEED <br /> $200.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN <br /> CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF <br /> OCTOBER 1, 1992. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: <br /> <br /> Section l. That the f'ollowing maximum, reasonable and <br /> prudent rates of speed shall be established on those portions <br /> of the street hereinafter described: <br /> "Gn Loop 469 (Bonham Street/Lamar Ave.) Easterly <br /> from the intersection of US Highway 82 (West), for a <br /> distance ot approximately 0.250 miles, a speed limit of <br /> fifty (5U) miles per hQUr at all times; <br /> THENCE Easterly a distance of approximately 0.670 <br /> miles, a speed limit of forty-five (45) miles per hour <br /> at all times; <br /> THENCE Easterly a distance of approximately 0.860 <br /> miles, a speed limit of thirty-five (35) miles per hour <br /> at all times; <br /> THENCE Easterly a distar,ce of approximately 1.883 <br /> miles, a speed limit of thirty (30) miles per hour at <br /> all times; <br /> THENCE Easterly a distance of approximately 0.720 <br /> miles, a speed limit of forty (40) miles per hour at all <br /> times; <br /> THENCE Easterly to the intersection of US Highway <br /> 82 (East) a distance of approximately 0.770 miles, a <br /> speed limit of forty-five (45) miles per hour at all <br /> times; except that a school speed limit of thirty (30) <br /> miles per hour will be effective on school days, from <br /> highway milepost 10.345 to highway milepost 10.545 only <br /> during the following hours: <br /> 7:15 A.M. until 8:15 A.M. <br /> 2:45 P.M. until 3:15 P.M. <br /> On Loop 480 (North Main Street) Southerly from the <br /> intersection of US Highway 271 (North), for a distance <br /> of approximately 0.930 miles, a speed limit of forty <br /> (40) miles per hour at all times; <br /> THEPICE Southerly a distance of approximately 0.300 <br /> miles, a speed limit af thirty-five (35) miles per hour <br /> at a11 times; <br /> THENCE Southerly to the intersectivn of Loop 469 <br /> (Clarksville and Grand Avenue) a distance of approxi- <br /> mately 0.570 miles, a speed limit of thirty (30) miles <br /> per hour at all times; <br /> And on Loop 480 (Clarksville Street) Southeasterly <br /> from the intersection af 12th Street, for a distance of <br /> approximately 0.445 mil_es, a speed limit of thirty (30) <br /> miles per hour at all times; <br /> THENCE Southeasterly for a distance of approxi- <br /> mately 0.647 miles, a speed limit of forty (40) miles <br /> per hour at all times; <br /> THENCE Southeasterly to the intersection of US <br /> Highway 271 (South), a distance of approximately 1.306 <br /> miles, a speed limit of fifty (50) miles per hour at all <br /> times." <br />
