<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE N0. 92-045 <br /> <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, <br /> PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES: CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, <br /> TEXAS, BE AMENDED BY REVISING SUBPARAGRAPHS (f) AND (g) OF <br /> SECTION 17-5; PROVIDING FOR AN INCREASED FEE FOR FURNISHING <br /> COPIES OF VITAL STATISTICS: REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS <br /> OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN <br /> EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: <br /> <br /> Section l. That Subparagraph (f) and (g) of Section <br /> 17-5 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, <br /> Texas, be amended to read as follows: <br /> "(f) The registrar of vital statistics is authorized <br /> and directed to furnish, upon request, to any qualified <br /> applicant, a certified copy of a death certificate <br /> recorded as provided in this section, for which a fee of <br /> nine dollars ($9.00) will be charged for the first or <br /> only copy requested, and three dollars ($3.00) for each <br /> additional copy of the same record requested in the same <br /> request. T'he fee for an uncertified copy of birth or <br /> death records shall be five dollars ($5.00). The fee <br /> for a certified copy of a birth record shall be nine <br /> dollars ($9.00). Additional copies shall be nine <br /> dollars ($9.00) for each copy requested. Such certified <br /> copy shall be issued in only such form as approved by <br /> the state department of health, and receipts shall be <br /> made by the registrar and issued to the applicant upon <br /> receipt forms furnished and provided by the City. When <br /> a copy of a birth or death record is requested and the <br /> year and month of the birth or death is unknown, a <br /> search fee of nine dol.l_ars ($9.00) will be charged. If <br /> th.e birth or death record is found and copy purchased, <br /> then the search fee shall not be assessed. <br /> (g) The registrar of vital statistics shall, upon <br /> request of any parent ar guardian, supply, for a fee of <br /> five dollars ($5.00) a birth registration card limited <br /> to a statement as to the date of birth of any child when <br /> the same shall be used for admission to school or for <br /> the purpose of securing employment." <br /> Section 2. A11 ordinances or parts of ordinances in <br /> conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. <br /> Section 3.
