ORDINANCE NO. 97-002 AN ORDINANCE CLOSING THE STREET KNOWN AS IOTH STREET S.E., BEGINNING AT THE NORTH BOUNDARY LINE OF AUSTIN STREET, THENCE NORTH TO THE SOUTH BOUNDARY LINE OF CLARKSVILI.E STREET; DECLARING NO NECESSITY OR NEED OF SAID STREET FOR CITY USE OTHER THAN FOR DRAINAGE AND UTILITY EASEMENTS, WHICH ARE EXPRESSLY RETAINED BY THE CITY OF PARIS; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFN'ECTIVE DATE ON JANUARY 13, 1997. WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the City Council of the City of Paris, that a street, beginning at the North Boundary Line of Austin Street, thence North to the South Boundary Line of Clarksville Street, is of no use as a street to the City of Paris or to its citizens, but is of use and necessary to the City of Paris and its citizens for drainage aiid utility easement purposes, and the City Council so tinds; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY ON' PARIS: Section 1. That the street known as lOth Street S. E., beginning approximately at the North Boundary Line of Austin Street North to the South Boundary Line of Clarksville Street described in Exhibit A attached hereto, is found to be of no use as a street to the City of Paris or its citizeiis, but is of use and iiecessary to the City of Paris and its citizens for drainage and utility easement purposes; therefore, such street is hereby closed, witll the City of Paris retaining drainage and utility easements. 5ection 2.
