ORDINANCE NO. 97-009 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A COMI%4ERCIAL DISTRICT (C) ON LOT 21, CITY BLOCK 315, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO GOLDIE THOMAS WELCH, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS AN AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT (A); DESIGNATING THE BOLJNDARIES OF 1'HE COMMRCIAL DISTRICT (C) SO ESTABLISHED; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $2,000.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF MARCH 1, 1997. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section 1. That the boundaries heretofore established by the Zoning Map and Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby, changed, and that a COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) be, and the same is hereby, established on LOT 21, CITY BLOCK 315, on property belonging to GOLDIE THOMAS WELCH, so as to include in such COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) the hereinafter described property, which was formerly and is presently designated as an AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT (A), and that the boundaries of said COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C), be, and the same are hereby, established as follows: SITUATED within the corporate limits of the City of Paris, County of Lamar, and State of Texas, and being a part of the Enoch Crow Survey and a part of the 22.27 acre tract of land conveyed to Goldie Thomas by deed recorded in Volume 524, Page 618 of the Lamar County Deed Records and being further described as follows: BEGINNING at a fence post found for corner in the north line of U.S. Highway 82, the southwest corner of said 22.27 acres; THENCE N 10 07' 20" E with the west line of said 22.27 acres a distance of 122.09 feet to a fence post for corner; THENCE N 81 ° 22' E a distance of 471.30 feet to a point for corner in the west line of County Road 42620; THENCE S 1° 45' E with said west line a distance of 126.40 feet to a point for corner in the north line of U.S. Highway 82; THENCE S 60° 32' W with said north line a distance of 135.0 feet to a right-of-way marker found for corner; THENCE S 89° 59' 30" W with said north line a distance of 354.67 feet to the place of beginning, and containing 1.61 acres of land, being numbers 4455 and 4535 Lamar Avenue. Section 2. That the Chief Building Official of the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby, directed to change the Zoning Map of the City of Paris in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 1710 and the land use map accompanying the same, and in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance. Section 3. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a Misdemeanor, and, upon conviction, shall be fined in any sum not to exceed $2,000.00, and each and every day's continuance of any violation of the above enumerated ordinance shall constitute and be deemed a separate offense.
