<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 97-009 <br /> <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE <br /> CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES <br /> ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A <br /> COMI%4ERCIAL DISTRICT (C) ON LOT 21, CITY BLOCK 315, ON PROPERTY <br /> BELONGING TO GOLDIE THOMAS WELCH, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN <br /> TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS AN AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT <br /> (A); DESIGNATING THE BOLJNDARIES OF 1'HE COMMRCIAL DISTRICT (C) <br /> SO ESTABLISHED; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $2,000.00; <br /> <br /> REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT <br /> HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF MARCH 1, 1997. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the boundaries heretofore established by the Zoning Map and <br /> Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby, <br /> changed, and that a COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) be, and the same is hereby, <br /> <br /> established on LOT 21, CITY BLOCK 315, on property belonging to GOLDIE THOMAS <br /> WELCH, so as to include in such COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) the hereinafter <br /> described property, which was formerly and is presently designated as an <br /> AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT (A), and that the boundaries of said COMMERCIAL <br /> DISTRICT (C), be, and the same are hereby, established as follows: <br /> <br /> SITUATED within the corporate limits of the City of Paris, County <br /> of Lamar, and State of Texas, and being a part of the Enoch Crow Survey <br /> and a part of the 22.27 acre tract of land conveyed to Goldie Thomas by <br /> <br /> deed recorded in Volume 524, Page 618 of the Lamar County Deed Records <br /> and being further described as follows: <br /> BEGINNING at a fence post found for corner in the north line of <br /> U.S. Highway 82, the southwest corner of said 22.27 acres; <br /> THENCE N 10 07' 20" E with the west line of said 22.27 acres a <br /> distance of 122.09 feet to a fence post for corner; <br /> THENCE N 81 ° 22' E a distance of 471.30 feet to a point for corner <br /> in the west line of County Road 42620; <br /> THENCE S 1° 45' E with said west line a distance of 126.40 feet to <br /> a point for corner in the north line of U.S. Highway 82; <br /> <br /> THENCE S 60° 32' W with said north line a distance of 135.0 feet <br /> to a right-of-way marker found for corner; <br /> THENCE S 89° 59' 30" W with said north line a distance of 354.67 <br /> feet to the place of beginning, and containing 1.61 acres of land, being <br /> numbers 4455 and 4535 Lamar Avenue. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Chief Building Official of the City of Paris, be, and he is <br /> hereby, directed to change the Zoning Map of the City of Paris in accordance with the <br /> provisions of Ordinance No. 1710 and the land use map accompanying the same, and in <br /> <br /> accordance with the provisions of this ordinance. <br /> <br /> Section 3. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be <br /> guilty of a Misdemeanor, and, upon conviction, shall be fined in any sum not to exceed <br /> $2,000.00, and each and every day's continuance of any violation of the above enumerated <br /> ordinance shall constitute and be deemed a separate offense. <br />
