ORDINANCE NO. 97-013 AN ORDINANCE CLOSING THE ALLEY BETWEEN BOOTH STREET AND TUDOR STREET BEGINNING AT THE WEST BOUNDARY LINE OF 19TH STREET N.E., WEST TO THE EAST BOUNDARY LINE OF 17TH STREET N.E.; DECLARING NO NECESSITY OR NEED OF SAID ALLEY FOR CITY USE OTHER THAN FOR DRAINAGE AND UTILITY EASEMENTS, WHICH ARE EXPRESSLY RETAINED BY THE CITY OF PARIS; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFI+ECTIVE DATE OF MARCH 10, 1997. WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the City Council of the City of Paris that an alley located between Booth Street and Tudor Street, beginiiing at the West Boundary Line of 19th Street N.E., West to the East Boundary Line of 17th Street N.E., is of no use as an alley to the City of Paris or to its citizens, but is of use and necessary to the City of Paris and its citizens for drainage and utility easement purposes, and the City Council so finds; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL ON THE CITY OF PARIS: Section 1. That the alley located between Booth Street and Tudor Street, beginning at the West Boundary Line of 19t11 Street N.E., West to the East Boundary Line of 17th Street N.E., described in Exhibit A, attached hereto, is found to be of no use as an alley to the City of Paris or its citizens,but is of use and necessary to the C.ity of Paris and its citizens for drainage and utility easement purposes; therefore, such alley is hereby closed, with the City of Paris retaining drainage and utility easemeilts. Section 2. This ordinance shall become effective on March 10, 1997. PASSED AND ADOPTED this lOth day of March, 1997. Eric S.
