ORDINANCE NO. 97-023 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A PUBLIC LANDS AND INSTITUTION DISTRICT (PLI) ON LOT 9, CITY BLOCK 151, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO THE CITY OF PARIS, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A MULTIPLE FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 1 (MF-1); DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE PUBLIC LANDS AND INSTITUTION DISTRICT (PLI) SO ESTABLISHED; PROVIDING N'OR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $2,000.00; REPEALWG ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF JUNE 1, 1997. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section 1. That the boundaries heretofore established by the Zoning Map and Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby, changed, and that a PUBLIC LANDS AND INSTITUTION DISTRICT (PLI) be, and the same is llereby, establislled on LOT 9, CITY BLOCK 151, on property belonging to the CITY OF PARIS, so as to include in such PUBLIC LANDS AND INSTITUTION DISTRICT (PLI) the hereinafter described property, which was formerly and is presently designated as a MULTIPLE FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. i(MF-l), and that the boundaries of said PUBLIC LANDS AND INSTITUTION DISTRICT (PLI), be, and the same are hereby, established as follows: SITUATED within the corporate limits of the City of Paris, County of Lamar, and State of Texas, and being Lot 9, City Block 151, more fully described as follows: BEGINNING at a point in the West Boundary Line of 6th Street S.W., being the Southwest corner of said Lot 9; THENCE North with the West Boundary Line of 6th Street S.W. a distance of 231 feet to a stake for corner, being the Northeast corner of said lot; THENCE West a distance of 133 feet to a stake for corner, being the Northwest corner of said Lot; TNENCE South a distance of 231 feet to a stake for corner in the North Bouildary Line of W. Washington Street, being the Southwest corner of said Lot; THENCE East along the West Boundary Line of W. Washington Street a distance of 133 feet to the place of beginning, being number 616 W. Washington Street. Section 2. That the Chief Building Official of the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby, directed to change the Zoning Map of the City of Paris in accordaiice with the provisions of Ordinance No. 1710 and the land use map accompanying the same, and in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance. Section 3. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a Misdemeanor, and, upon conviction, sllall be fined in any sum not to exceed $2,000.00, and each and every day's co»tinuance of any violation of the above enumerated sections shall constitute and be deemed a separate offense. Section 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective June l, 1997.
