<br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY

<br /> OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY
<br /> THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A LIGHT INDU5TRIAL DISTRICT
<br /> (LI) ON LOT 14, CITY BLOCK 178, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO MARK
<br /> CUNNINGHAM, SO AS TO INCLUllE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY
<br /> DESIGNATED AS A COMMERCIAI, DISTRICT (C); DESIGNATING THE
<br /> BOUNDARIES Or THE LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT (LI) SO ESTABLISHED;
<br /> PROVIDING N'OR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $2,000.00; REPEALING ALL
<br /> ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND
<br /> PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF JUNE 1, 1997.

<br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS:
<br />
<br /> Section 1. That the boundaries heretofore established by the Zoning Map and Ordinance
<br /> No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby, changed, and that a
<br /> LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT (LI) be, and the same is hereby, established on LOT 14, CITY
<br /> BLOCK 178, on property belonging to MARK CUNNINGHAM, so as to include in such LIGHT
<br /> INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT (LI) the hereinafter described property, which was formerly and is
<br /> presently designated as a COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C), and that the boundaries of said LIGHT
<br /> INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT (LI), be, and the same are hereby, established as follows:
<br />
<br /> SITUATED within the corporate limits of the City of Paris, County of
<br /> Lamar, and State of Texas, being a part of the Larkin Rattan Survey, Abstract No.
<br /> 778, being known as that tract of land described as the First Tract in a deed from
<br /> Paris Automatic Gas Co. to Paris Gas Co. Inc., recorded in Volume 605, Page 268
<br /> of the Deed Records of Lamar County, Texas, and being more particularly
<br /> described as follows:
<br /> BEGINNING at a 1/2" iron rod found for corner in the Westerly line of
<br /> State Highway No. 24 (S. Church Street), said point being the occupied Southeast
<br /> corner of the above cited tract of land, said point also being the occupied Northeast
<br /> corner of the above cited tract of land, aiid said point also being the occupied
<br /> Northeast corner of a tract of land conveyed to Donald H. Oglesby by deed
<br /> recorded in Volume 605, Page 191 of the Real Property Records of Lamar County,
<br /> Texas;
<br /> THENCE N 89° 57' 38" W along a fence line on the occupied South line
<br /> of said Paris Gas Co. tract and the North line of said Oglesby tract a distance of
<br /> 256.58 feet to a 5/8" iron rod found for corner at a fence corner post, said point
<br /> being the occupied Southwest corner of said Paris Gas Co. tract;
<br /> THENCE N 23° 46' 58" E along a fence line a distance of 402.00 feet to
<br /> a 1/2" iron rod set for corner at a fence corner post at the occupied Northwest
<br /> corner of said Paris Gas Co. tract, said point also being in the South line of a tract
<br /> of land conveyed to Lamar County Humane Association described in deed recorded
<br /> in Volume 28, Page 94 of the Real Property Records of Lamar County, Texas;
<br /> THENCE S 66° 17' 32" E along the South line of said Lamar County
<br /> Humane Association tract a distance of 236.00 feet to a 1/2" iron rod set for corner
<br /> in the Westerly line of State Highway No. 24;
<br /> THENCE S 24° 00' 00" W(Reference Bearing) along the Westerly line of
<br />
<br /> said highway a distance of 299.00 feet to the place of beginning and containing
<br /> 1.894 acres of land, being located in the 2400 block of S. Church Street.
<br />
<br /> Section 2. That the Chief Building Official of the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby,
<br /> directed to change the Zoning Map of the City of Paris in accordance with the provisions of
<br /> Ordinance No. 1710 and the land use map accompanying the same, and in accordance with the
<br /> provisions of this ordinance.
