City s Authority to Grant Franchise <br /> <br /> This franchise is subject to all of the rights, privileges, and powers granted the City of Paris <br /> by its Charter. Acceptance of this Ordinance by the Company shall not affect the Company's right <br /> to contest or challenge the validity, enforceability, or applicability of any other ordinance or of any <br /> provision of the City Charter. <br /> <br /> Section 38. Compliance With Legal Requirements <br /> <br /> It is hereby officially found and determined that the three (3) meetings at which this <br /> Ordinance was passed by a vote of the majority of the City Council were open to the public, as <br /> required by law, and that each of such meetings were regular meetings of the City Council, and that <br /> public notices of the times, places, and purposes of said meetings were given as required. <br /> <br /> INTRODUCED, READ, AND PASSED on first reading on August 7, 1997, at a regular <br /> meeting of the City Council of the City of Paris; on second reading on August 11, 1997, at a regular <br /> meeting of the City Council of the City of Paris; and on third and final reading on September 8, <br /> 1997, at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Paris, the last reading being not less than <br /> thirty (30) days from the first. <br /> <br /> FINALLY PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Ciry Council of the City of Paris at a regular <br /> meeting this the 8th day of September, 1997. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Eric S.
