<br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY
<br /> OF PARI5, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY
<br /> THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A GENERAL RETAIL DISTRICT
<br /> (GR) ON LOT 1, CITY BLOCK 102-A, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO JOHN D.
<br /> WHITE, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS
<br /> A MULTIPLE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 1(MF-1); DESIGNATING THE
<br /> BOUNDARIES OF THE GENERAL RETAIL DISTRICT (GR) SO ESTABLISHED;
<br /> PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $2,000.00; REPEALING ALL
<br /> ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND
<br /> PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF OCTOBER 1, 1997.

<br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS:
<br />
<br /> Section 1. That the boundaries heretofore established by the Zoning Map and Ordinance
<br /> No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby, changed, and that a
<br /> GENERAL RETAIL DISTRICT (GR) be, and the same is hereby, established on LOT l, CITY
<br /> BLOCK 102-A, on properry belonging to JOHN D. WHITE, so as to include in such GENERAL
<br /> RETAIL DISTRICT (GR) the hereinafter described property, which was formerly and is presently
<br /> designated as a MULTIPLE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 1(MF-1), and that the
<br /> boundaries of said GENERAL RETAIL DISTRICT (GR), be, and the same are hereby,
<br /> established as follows:
<br />
<br /> SITUATED within the corporate limits of the City of Paris, County of
<br /> Lamar, and State of Texas, being a part of the Larkin Rattan Survey, being Lot 1,
<br /> City Block 102-A, and being more particularly described as follows:
<br /> BEGINNING at a point in the east boundary line of 13th Street S.E., same
<br /> being the northwest corner of a lot described in deed dated December 21, 1931,
<br /> from John S. LeClercq, Executor of the Estate of Mrs. Flora Burdett, to T. E.
<br /> Belew, recorded in Volume 232, Page 498, Deed Records, Lamar County, Texas;
<br /> THENCE East with the north boundary line of the above-mentioned lot a
<br /> distance of 170 feet, more or less, a stake at its northeast corner;
<br /> THENCE South with its east boundary line a distance of 50 feet, a stake at
<br /> the northeast corner of the lot described in deed dated April 21, 1943, from T. E.
<br /> Belew and wife to James R. Boyers and wife, recorded in Volume 268, Page 323,
<br /> Deed Records, Lamar County, Texas;
<br /> THENCE West with the north boundary line of the Belew to Boyers lot a
<br /> distance of 170 feet, more or less, a stake in the east boundary line of 13th Street
<br /> S.E.;
<br /> THENCE North with said east boundary line a distance of 50 feet to the
<br />
<br /> place of beginning, being the same property described in deed from O. D. Amis,
<br /> Jr., et al, to Don C. Blackburn and wife, Lurania Blackburn, dated July 31, 1980,
<br /> and recorded in Volume 627, Page 781, Deed Records, Lamar County, Texas, and
<br /> being numbers 227 and 229 13th Street S.E.
<br />
<br /> Section 2. That the Chief Building Official of the Ciry of Paris, be, and he is hereby,
<br /> directed to change the Zoning Map of the City of Paris in accordance with the provisions of
<br /> Ordinance No. 1710 and the land use map accompanying the same, and in accordance with the
<br /> provisions of this ordinance.
<br />
<br /> Section 3. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of
<br /> a Misdemeanor, and, upon conviction, shall be fined in any sum not to exceed $2,000.00, and
<br /> each and every day's continuance of any violation of the above enumerated sections shall constitute
<br /> and be deemed a separate offense.
<br />
<br /> Section 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly
<br /> repealed.
<br />
<br /> Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective October 1, 1997.
