<br /> AN ORDINANCE SETTING A DATE, TIME, AND PLACE FOR PUBLIC
<br /> HEARINGS BEFORE THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
<br /> PARIS AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS ON THE PROPOSED
<br /> ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY BY THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS,
<br /> AND APPROPRIATE ZONING UPON ANNEXATION; AND AUTHORIZING AND
<br /> DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF SUCH PUBLIC HEARINGS.

<br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS:
<br />
<br /> Section 1. That public hearings be held by and before the Planning and Zoning
<br /> Commission of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, on the 6th day of October, 1997, at 5:30 p.m. in
<br /> the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 135 lst Street S.E., Paris, Texas; by and before the City
<br /> Council of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, in Regular Session convened on the 9th day of October,
<br /> 1997, at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 135 lst Street S.E., Paris, Texas;
<br /> and, by and before the City Council of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, in Regular Session
<br /> convened on the 13th day of October, 1997, at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, City
<br /> Hall, 135 lst Street S.E., Paris, Texas; giving all interested persons the right to appear and be
<br /> heard on the proposed annexation and appropriate zoning upon annexation of the following
<br /> described property:

<br /> Tract 1
<br />
<br /> BEGINNING at the existing Paris city limits line at US Hwy 82 West and
<br /> Loop 286 N.W., said point being 600' west of the centerline of the outside lane of
<br /> Loop 286 N.W.;
<br /> THENCE westerly along the centerline of US Hwy 82 West a distance of
<br /> 4317.5' to a point;
<br /> THENCE southerly along the existing Paris city limits line a distance of
<br /> 500' to a point;
<br /> THENCE westerly, parallel to and 500' south of the centerline of US Hwy
<br /> 82 West, a distance of 3667' to the east right-of-way line of County Road 22900;
<br /> THENCE northerly along the east right-of-way line of County Road 22900
<br /> to its intersection with the centerline of US Hwy 82 West a distance of 500', and
<br />
<br /> continuing with the east right-of-way line of County Road 32100 a distance of 500',
<br /> in all 1000' to a point in the east right-of-way line of County Road 32100, said
<br /> point being 500' north of the centerline of US Hwy 82 West;
<br /> THENCE easterly, parallel to and 500' north of the centerline of US Hwy
<br /> 82 West, a distance of 7987' to the existing Paris city limits line;
<br /> THENCE southerly along the existing Paris city limits line a distance of
<br /> 571' to the place of beginning, containing 136.981 acres.

<br /> BEGINNING at the existing Paris ciry limits line at US Hwy 82 West and
<br /> Loop 286 N.W., said point being 600' west of the centerline of the outside lane of
<br /> Loop 286 N. W. and 500' north of the centerline of US Hwy 82 West;
<br /> THENCE westerly, parallel to and 500' north of the centerline of US Hwy
<br /> 82 West, a distance of 2004' to a point;
<br /> THENCE northerly, parallel to and 2000' west of the existing Paris city
<br /> limits line, a distance of 10357' to its intersection with the south boundary line of
<br /> FM 79, which city limits line is 600' west of and parallel to the centerline of the
<br /> outside lane of Loop 286 N. W.;
<br /> THENCE southeasterly along the south boundary line of FM 79 a distance
<br /> of 808' to a point;
<br /> THENCE southerly along the existing Paris city limits line a distance of
<br /> 1567' to a point;
