"(2) The Dispatcher Training Officer shall be entitled to compensation at the rate of $6.25 per day when performing the duties and responsibilities of the position. "(3) The assignment pay provided by this section shall be in addition to the regular pay received by the member or members of the police department assigned as the Dispatcher Training Officer. "(d) K-9 Officer. "(1) K-9 Officer shall mean a member of the police department who is assigned to and performs the duties and responsibilities of the K-9 officers program. "(2) The K-9 Officer shall be entitled to compensation at the rate of $50.00 per pay-period when performing the duties and responsibilities of the position. "(3) The assignment pay provided by this section shall be in addition to the regular pay received by the member or members of the police department assigned as the K-9 Officer. "Sec. 26-7. Longevity Pay. "Members of the police department shall be entitled to received longevity pay, as permitted in Local Government Code, Section 143.041, as amended, at the rate of $1. 85 per pay-period. "Sec. 26-8. Certification Pay. "(1) Members of the police department shall be entitled to receive certification pay, as permitted in Local Government Code, Sections 143.041 and 143.044, as amended, as follows: "(a) Intermediate certificatian - $50.00 per pay-period, "(b) Advanced certification -$75.00 per pay-period, or "(c) Masters certification - $92.30 per pay-period. "(2) The certification pay provided by this section shall be in addition to the regular pay received by the member or members of the police department qualifying for the same." Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are expressly repealed. Section 3. This ordinance shall become effective on December 8, 1997.
