ORDINANCE NO. 97-059 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE EXTENSION OF CERTAIN BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXA5, AND THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY CONSISTING OF 5,389.031 ACRES, MORE OR LESS, WHICH IS LESS THAN THIRTY PERCENT (30%) OF THE TERRITORY INCLUDED WITHIN ITS PRESENT CITY LIMITS, WffiCH SAID TERRITORY LIES ADJACENT TO AND ADJOINS THE PRESENT BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS; APPROVING THE SERVICE PLAN; AND PROVIDING ZONING FOR SAID TERRITORY. WHEREAS, public hearings before the City Council of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, where all interested persons were provided with an opportunity to be heard on the proposed annexation of the following described property: Tract 1 BEGINNING at the existing Paris city limits line at US Hwy 82 West and Loop 286 N.W., said point being 600 feet west of the centerline of the outside lane of Loop 286 N.W.; THENCE westerly along the centerline of US Hwy 82 West a distance of 4,317.5 feet to a point; THENCE southerly along the existing Paris city limits line a distance of 500 feet to a point; THENCE westerly, parallel to and 500 feet south of the centerline of US Hwy 82 West, a distance of 3,667 feet to the east right-of-way line of County Road 22900; THENCE northerly along the east right-of-way line of County Road 22900 to its intersection with the centerline of US Hwy 82 West a distance of 500 feet, and continuing with the east right-of-way line of County Road 32100 a distance of 500 feet, in all 1,000 feet to a point in the east right-of-way line of County Road 32100, said point being 500 feet north of the centerline of US Hwy 82 West; THENCE easterly, parallel to and 500 feet north of the centerline of US Hwy 82 West, a distance of 7,987 feet to the existing Paris ciry limits line; THENCE southerly along the existing Paris city limits line a distance of 571 feet to the place of beginning, containing 136.981 acres. Tract 2 BEGINNING at the existing Paris city limits line at US Hwy 82 West and Loop 286 N.W., said point being 600 feet west of the centerline of the outside lane of Loop 286 N.W. and 500 feet north of the centerline of US Hwy 82 West; THENCE westerly, parallel to and 500 feet north of the centerline of US Hwy 82 West, a distance of 2,004 feet to a point; THENCE northerly, parallel to and 2,000 feet west of the existing Paris city limits line, a distance of 10,357 feet to its intersection with the south right-of-way line of FM 79, which city limits line is 600 feet west of and parallel to the centerline of the outside lane of Loop 286 N.W.; THENCE southeasterly along the south right-of-way line of FM 79 a distance of 808 feet to a point; THENCE southerly along the existing Paris city limits line a distance of 1,567 feet to a point; THENCE easterly along the existing Paris city limits line a distance of 453 feet to a point; THENCE southerly along the existing Paris city limits line a distance of 775 feet to the centerline of the outside lane of Loop 286 N.
