<br /> approximately 1,635 feet easterly of said highway's north right-of-way line's
<br /> intersection with the south right-of-way line of the former Missouri-Pacific
<br /> Railroad;
<br /> THENCE southeasterly along the north right-of-way line of US Hwy 271
<br /> South and the existing Paris city limits line a distance of 7,496 feet to the place of
<br /> beginning, containing 1,228.89 acres.

<br /> BEGINNING at a point in the north right-of-way line of Lake Crook Road,
<br /> the existing Paris City limits line, and the west right-of-way line of the Kiamichi
<br /> Railroad;
<br /> THENCE northerly along the north right-of-way line of Lake Crook Road
<br /> and the existing Paris city limits line a distance of 8,740 feet to a point in the south
<br /> right-of-way line of County Road 32900;
<br /> THENCE easterly along the south right-of-way line of County Road 32900
<br /> a distance of 1,966 feet to a point;
<br /> THENCE southerly along the west right-of-way line of County Road 32900
<br /> a distance of 916 feet to a point;

<br /> THENCE easterly along the south right-of-way line of County Road 32900
<br /> a distance of 2,154 feet to a point;
<br /> THENCE southerly along the west right-of-way line of County Road 32900
<br /> a distance of 588 feet to a point;
<br /> THENCE easterly along the south right-of-way line of County Road 32900
<br /> a distance of 713 feet to a point, said point being 500 feet west of the centerline of
<br /> the right-of-way of US Hwy 271 North;
<br /> THENCE southerly, parallel to and 500 feet west of the centerline of the
<br /> right-of-way of US Hwy 271 North, a distance of 5,745 feet to the place of
<br /> beginning, containing 484 acres.

<br /> Section 2. The above-described territory and area so annexed shall be part of the City of
<br /> Paris, Paris, Texas, and the property so added hereby shall bear its pro rata part of the taxes levied
<br /> by the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, and the inhabitants thereof shall be entitled to all of the rights
<br /> and privileges of all the citizens and shall be bound by the acts, ordinances, resolutions, and
<br /> regulations of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas.
<br />
<br /> Section 3. The service plan providing for the extension of municipal services into the
<br /> above-described territory, attached hereto as Exhibit A, is hereby approved.
<br />
<br /> Section 4. The above-described territory is hereby zoned Temporary Agricultural (A) upon
<br /> annexation as provided for in Zoning Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas.
<br />
<br /> Section 5. It is hereby declared to be the intention of the City Council of the City of Paris
<br /> that the sections, paragraphs, sentences, clauses, and phrases of this ordinance are severable, and,
<br /> if any phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, or section of this ordinance shall be declared
<br /> unconstitutional or invalid by the valid judgment or decree of any court of competent jurisdiction,
<br /> such unconstitutionality or invalidity shall not affect any of the remaining phrases, clauses,
<br /> sentences, paragraphs, and sections of this ordinance, since the same would have been enacted by
<br /> the City Council without the incorporation in this ordinance of any unconstitutional or invalid
<br /> phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, or sections.
