<br />DRAFT <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />PARIS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A LEASE <br />AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PARIS AND PARIS RADIO <br />CONTROL ASSOCIATION TO LEASE 3.673 ACRES OF LAND NEAR <br />LAKE GIBBONS FOR THE PURPOSE OF MODEL AERONAUTICS <br />ACTIVITIES; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED <br />TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />f:attomey\reswork\current\ Model Airplane Lease Res 05 <br />. ~rober4,2005 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on October 9, 2000, in <br />Resolution No. 2000- , authorize the execution of a lease agreement with the Paris Radio <br />Control Association to lease 3.673 acres of land near Lake Gibbons for the purpose of model <br />aeronautics activities for a term of five (5) years beginning October 1,2000, and ending November <br />30, 2005; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris has received a request from the Paris <br />Radio Control Association to renew said lease; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is desirous of renewing said lease for a term of five (5) years, <br />beginning December 1,2005, and ending November 30,2010; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the form of the Lease Agreement, attached hereto as Exhibit A, should in all <br />things be approved, and the Mayor of the City of Paris should be authorized to execute the same; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things <br />approved. <br /> <br />Section 2. That the form of the Lease Agreement with the Paris Radio Control <br />Association for 3.673 acres of land near Lake Gibbons be, and the same is hereby, approved. <br /> <br />Section 3. That the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on behalf <br />of the City of Paris, the Lease Agreement with the Paris Radio Control Association, upon the terms <br />and conditions and in the form shown in Exhibit A, attached hereto. <br /> <br />Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage. <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED this 10th day of October, 2005. <br /> <br />Curtis Fendley, Mayor <br />
