<br />.. <br /> <br />:MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE PLANNING AND <br />ZONING COMMISSION <br />SEPTEMBER 12, 2005 <br /> <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission met ~onday, September 12,2005, <br />4:00 P.M., Love Civic Center, 2025 S. Collegiate Street, Paris, Texas with <br />the following members present: <br /> <br />1. Reeves Hayter <br />. 2. Carl Lucas <br />3. Russell McCain <br />4. Benny Plata <br /> <br />5. Bobby L. Myers <br />6. Barbara Forrest <br />7. Brad Archer <br /> <br />Lisa Wright, Director of Community Development, was also present. <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />Call meeting to order and roll call. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />Approval of minutes from previous meetings. (August 1, 2005, <br />Regular Meeting; August 22, 2005, Special Meeting) Motion was <br />made to approve the minutes by Bobby Myers, seconded by Benny <br />Plata. Motion carried by a vote of 6 ayes and 0 nays. <br /> <br />3. Public Hearing to consider the petition of Joe L. Fulton for a change <br />in zoning from a Light Industrial District (LI) to a Heavy Industrial <br />District (HI) on Lot 11, City Block 355, being n urn ber 2615 Loop 286 <br />. NW. <br /> <br />The public hearing was declared open. <br /> <br />Joe Fulton, representative of Fulton Recycling and Shredding, Inc., <br />spoke in favor of the petition stating that his company would like the <br />property upgraded to Heavy Industrial zoning to put i:t:l a metal <br />shredding machine capable of processin g 150 tons of metal per h 0 or. <br />The operation will bring in customers from other cities. Mr. Fulton <br />distributed hand-outs showing the layout of where the machine will <br />be placed. The plan is to put in an embankment around the property <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />I <br />
