<br /> AN ORDINANCE CONTAINING A HEARING ON PROPERTIES LOCATED IN
<br /> 'THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, BLLONGING TO VARIOUS OWNERS, AND AN
<br /> ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL FINDING THE MATERIALS KEMAINING ON
<br /> THE PREMISES TO CONSTITUTE A NUISANCE AND TU F3E A FIRE HAZARD TO
<br /> LIFE AND PROPERTY AND A HAZARll TO THE LiFE AND WELFARE OF THE
<br /> INHABITAIvTS CF ThE AREA, AND ORDERING SAID RUBBISH, LUMBER AND
<br /> REFUSE FROM THE STRUCTURES TO BE TORN DOWN AND REMOVED FROM THE
<br /> PRENIISES IN ORDEK TO ABATE SUCH NUISANCE.
<br /> WHEREAS, a public hearing was called to order by the Mayor
<br /> of the City of Paris, Eric S. Clif£ord, on the 14th day of
<br /> January, 1991, at 6:00 o'clock P.M., in the Council Room, City
<br /> Hall, in the City of Paris, Texas; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Building Hazarci
<br /> Inspection Committee fixed a date for hearing on the resolutions
<br /> referred to the Committee by the City Couricil on the lOth day of
<br /> September, 1990, amended on the 24th day o£ September, 1990,
<br /> amended on the 15th day of October, 1990, and said Committee
<br /> fixed said hearing at 10:00 o'clock A.M. on the I6th day of
<br /> November, 1990, and the hearing was had thereon. That proper
<br /> notice was given to the owner or owners of the structures located
<br /> at the following addresses:
<br /> 1366 Church, Lot 20, Block 4, Texas & Pacific Add.
<br /> 235 3rd N.E., Lot 4, City Block 38
<br /> 2303 W. Kaufman, Lot l, City Block 208
<br /> 323 Brown Ave., Lot 3, Block 1, Locust Hill Add.
<br /> 505 llth Street N.E., Lot 11, City Block 69-A
<br /> 517 llth Street N.E., Lot 11, City Block 69-A
<br /> 305 16th Street S.E., Lot b, City Block 48
<br /> 1240 West Houston, Lot 19, City Block 48
<br /> 420 East Sherman, Lot 6, City Block 142
<br /> 1016 Shiloh, Lot 6, City Block 86
<br /> 1010 5th Street S.E., Lct 15, City Block 160
<br /> 973 West Kaufman, "Cafe", Lot l, City Block 129-A
<br /> 429 Tudor, Lot 20, City B:Lock 75
<br /> 'That at said hearing the Committee listed the structures involved
<br /> and introduced pictures of the various portions of the structures
<br /> and various portions of the premises involved and a list of
<br /> discrepancies in the structtares located thereon. That the
<br /> Committee found that each of the above structures was in such
<br /> state of deterioration and dilapidation as to create a serious
<br /> fire hazard to life and property and that each of said buildings
<br /> was dilapidated and was dangerous ta life and property and
<br /> dangerous structures to life and property. That said buildings
<br /> are in such a state of dil_apidation and decay that none of said
<br /> structures are capable of repair. It is further found that the
<br /> condition of the premises and structures involved was such that
<br /> the Committee recommended to the City Council that they be
<br /> declared a nuisance and that the owners thereof be ordered by the
<br /> City Council to tear down and remove the same from the lots
<br /> involved. That said Committee iiled a complete report of its
<br /> hearing and its findings with the City Clerk af the City of Paris
<br /> on the 14th day of December, 1990; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council further finds that proper notice
<br /> was given to the owner or owners of the structures hereinafter
<br /> listed. That at said hearing on the 16th day of November, 1990,
<br /> the Cominittee listed the structures involved and introduced
<br /> pictures of the various portions af the structures and various
<br /> portions of the premises involved and a list of discrepancies in
<br /> the structures located thereoti. That the Committee found that
<br /> each of the hereinafter listed structures was in such state of
<br /> deterioration and dilapidation as to create a serious fire hazard
