<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE N0. 91-049 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, <br /> PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE <br /> AMENDED BY REVISING ARTICLE III OF CHAPTER 16; PRUVIDING FOR <br /> THE AMENDMENT OF THE DEFINITIUN OF DIVISION; AND PROVIDING <br /> FUR AN INCREASE IN RESIDENTIAL SOLID WASTE SERVICE FEE AND <br /> ANIENDING THE BEFINITION; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF <br /> ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR COLLECTION <br /> OF SUCH FEE ON ALL ACCUUNTS BILLED AFTER OCTOBER I, 1991. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCiL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: <br /> Section l. That Article II1 of Chapter 16 of the <br /> Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be <br /> amended so as to read as foilows: <br /> <br /> "ARTICLE III. SOLID WASTE, HEALTH AND SAFETY <br /> SERVICE FEE <br /> Sec. 16-41. Definition. <br /> <br /> (a) As used in this article, the word <br /> department shall mean the billing and collecting <br /> department of the water division of the water and <br /> sewer fund of the City. <br /> (b) As used in this article, the phrase <br /> "residential unit" shall mean any unit which <br /> contains a bathroom, kitchen and bedroom or <br /> combination of the same. <br /> Sec. 16-42. Fees Established. <br /> <br /> (a) A solid waste health and safety service <br /> fee of $3.00 is established for each residential <br /> unit, each commercial establishment and each <br /> industry. <br /> (b) A residential. trash pickup fee of $7.00 <br /> is established for each residential unit. The <br /> occupant of a residential unit who dwells in a <br /> multi-family complex consisting of four (4) units <br /> or more, whose landlord has an annual trash pickup <br /> service contract with an approved commercial trash <br /> collector is entitled to make application, direct <br /> or through his landlord, to the department to be <br /> exempt from the $7.00 residential unit trash pickup <br /> fee. <br /> Sec. 16-43. Collection <br /> The division shall collect the fees as <br /> established in Section 16-42." <br /> <br /> Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances iri <br /> conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. <br /> <br /> Section 3. This ordinance shall become effective <br /> with such billings after October 1, 1991. <br />
