ORDINANCE N0. 90-039 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, 'rEXAS, PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE AMENDED BY REVISING SECTIONS 7-18 AND 7-19 OF SAID CODE; PROVIllING THAT THE FEE SCHEDULE BE AMENllED; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $2,000.00; REPEALiNG ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF NOVEMBER l, 1990. BE IT ORDAINEB BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section l. That Section 7-18 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended so that such shall read as follows: "Sec. 7-18. Same-Amendments. The code adopted by section 7-16 is hereby amended as set out in this section: Section 105.1, Appointinent, i.s deleted. Section 105.2, Appeals, is deleted. Section 105.3, Decisions, is deleted. Section 1301.1, General, is h2reby amended by renumbering the existing paragraph to be paragraph (a) and adding paragraph (b) to read as follows: "(b) Construction projects and trench excavations exceeding a depth of five (5) feet must incorporate a trench safety system constructed in accordance with detailed plans and specifications for the same meeting the Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards. Such detailed plans and specifications shall be included in the bid documents and the contract." Section A105.4, fioard members and procedures, is deleted. Sectiori A107, Violations and penalties, is hereby amended to read as follows: "A person who shall violate a provisian of this code or fails to comply therewith or with any of the requirements thereof, or who shall erect, construct, alter or repair, or has erected, constructed, altered or repaired a building or structure in violation of a detailed statement or plan submitted ancl approved thereunder, or of a permit or certificate issued thereunder, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction therefor, shall be Fined in any sum not exceeding two thousand dollars ($2,000.00), and each and every day's continuance ot any violation of the provisions of this code shall constitute and be deemed a separate offense."` Section 2. That Section 7-18 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Yaris, Texas, be amended so that such shall read as follows: "Sec. 7-19. Permit Fees. (a) General construction permit fees. The fee required for the granting and issuance of a permit for the construction of any building shall be computed as per Appendix K."
