<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE N0. 89-005 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, <br /> PROVIDING THAT ORDINANCE NO. 1710 BE AMENDED; PROVIDING F'OR <br /> THE CORRECTIOII OF A PRINTER'S ERROR BY DELETING PUBLIC <br /> HOUSING AS A PERMITTED USE IN THE COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) IN <br /> PARAGRAPH 8-101, PRIMARY RESIDENTIAL USES; PROVIDING FOR A <br /> PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $2,000.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR <br /> PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR <br /> AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF FEBRUARY 13, 1989. <br /> WHEREAS, Public Housing was scheduled as a use for the <br /> first time when the zoning district entitled "Public Lands <br /> and Institutions District" was established by Ordinance No. <br /> 2075 passed and adopted on the 13th day of March, 1972, with <br /> an effective date of April l, 1972; and, <br /> WHEREAS, there have been no amendments to Zoning <br /> Ordinance No. 1710 since the establishment of said use and <br /> said Public Lands and Institutions District which permitted <br /> the Public Housing use in any district other than the Public <br /> Lands and Insitutions District; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the printer's error, Public Housing, was <br /> indicated in Paragraph 8-101 of Ordinance 1710 as a <br /> permissive use in the Commercial District (C) and such error <br /> should be corrected in order that persons viewing said <br /> ordinance would not be misled into thinking that Public <br /> Housing was a permissive use in Commercial District (C); <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> PARIS: <br /> <br /> Section l. That Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of <br /> Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended by deleting Public Housing <br /> as a permitted use in the Commercial District (C). <br /> Section 2. Any person violating any of the <br /> provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a <br /> Misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be fined in any sum <br /> not to exceed $2,000.00, and each and every day's <br /> continuance of any violation of the above enumerated <br /> ordinance shall constitute and be deemed a separate offense. <br /> Section 3. Al1 ordinances or parts of ordinances in <br /> conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. <br /> <br /> Section 4.
