ORDINANCE N0. 89-006 AN ORDINANCE CLOSIIVTG THE ALLEY, BEGINNING APPROXIMATELY MIDWAY BETWEEN MARGARET STREET AND HUBBARD STREET RUNNING EAST FROM 17TH STREET S.E. TO A POINT APPROXIMATELY 186 FEET WEST OF 19TH STREET S.E. WHERE IT FORMS A"T" TO INTERSECT WITH MARGARET AND HUBBARD STREETS; DECLARING NO NECESSITY OR NEED OF SAID ALLEY FOR CITY USE OTHER THAN FOR A UTILITY EASEMENT, WHICH IS EXPRESSLY RETAINED BY THE CITY OF PARIS; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF MARCH 1, 1989. WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the City Council of the City of Paris, that an alley, beginning approximately midway between Margaret Street and Hubbard Street running East from 17th Street S.E. to a point approximately 186 feet west of 19th Street S.E. where it forms a"T" to intersect with Margaret and Hubbard Streets is of no use as an alley or street to the City of Paris or to its citizens, but is of use and necessary to the City of Paris and its citizens for utility easemer.t purposes, and the City Council so finds; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section l. That the alley, beginning approximately midway Uetween Margaret Street and Hubbard Street running East from 17th Street S.E. to a point approximately 186 feet west of 19th Street S.E. where it forms a"T" to intersect with Margaret anci Hubbard Streets described in Exhibit A attached hereto, is hereby closed, with the City of Paris retaining a utility easement.
