<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE N0. 89-031 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING <br /> THAT ORllINANCE N0. 1710 BE AMENDED: PROVIDING FOR THE DELETION <br /> OF PUBLIC HOUSING AS A SCHEDULED USE IN PARAGRAPH 8-101; <br /> PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $2,000.00; REPEALING ALL <br /> ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND <br /> PRUVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF SEPTEMBER 1, 1989. <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris deems it to <br /> be in the best interest of the citizens of Paris to amend the <br /> Zoning Ordinance of the City ot Paris so as to remove any <br /> distinction between Public Housing and Private Housing to insure <br /> that said ordinance is not in violation of the spirit of the law <br /> of the land as announced by the Supreme Court of the United <br /> States on November 7, 1988, in Town of Huntington, New York V. <br /> Huntin ton Branch, National Association For The Advancement of <br /> Colored People, 10 S.Ct. 276 1 8 ; NOW THEREFORE, <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That Urdinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris, <br /> Paris, Texas, be amended by deleting Public Housing as a <br /> Scheduled Use in Paragraph $-101. <br /> Section 2. Any person violating any of the provisions of <br /> this ordinance shall be guilty of a Misdemeanor, and upon <br /> conviction shall be fined in any sum not to exceed $2,000.00, and <br /> each and every day's continuance of any violation of the above <br /> enumerated ordinance shall constitute and be deemed a separate <br /> offense. <br /> Section 3. Al1 ordinances or parts of ordinances in <br /> conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. <br /> <br /> Section 4.
