ORDINANCE N0. $8-017 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 14-1 (a) OF SAID CODE; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $2,000.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PAP.TS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF JUNE l, 1988.. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section 1. That Section 14-1 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended so that such shall read as follows: "Section 14-1. Littering prohibited. (a) It shall be unlawful for aily person to knowingly, wilfully, negligently, or carelessly throw, deposit, place, cast, scatter, dump, pile, leave or lay any Iitter upon any public street, public street right of way, sidewalk, other public property, or upori any premises belonging to another person, or to permit any litter to blow from any vehicle on any public street, public street right of way, sidewalk, other public property, or upon any premises belonging to another person." Section 2. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a Misdemeanor, and u on conviction shall be fined in any sum not to exceed ~2,000.00, and each and every day's continuance of any violation of the above enumerated section shall constitute and be deemed a separate offense. Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective on Jurie 1, 1988.
