ORDINANCE N0. 88- 029 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A MAXIMUM, REASONABLE AND PRUDENT RATE OF SPEED ON CERTAIN PORTIONS OF CERTAIN STREETS AND HIGHWAYS AND PUBLIC PLACES IN THE CITY OF PARIS; PROVIDING FOR A FINE NOT TO EXCEED $200.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF SEPTEMBER 1, 1988. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section 1. That the following maximum, reasonable and prudent rates of speed shall shall be established on those portions of the street hereinafter described: "On U.S. Highway 82 Easterly from the west city limits of Paris, a distance of approximately 0.202 miles to the intersection of Loop 469 (Bonham Street), a speed limits of tifty-five (55) miles per hour at alZ times; THENCE Northeasterly from the intersection of Loop 469 (Bonham Street) a distance of approximately 2.720 miles, a speed limit of fifty-five (55) miles per hour at all times; THENCE Easterly a distance of approximately 1.320 miles, a speed limi.t of fifty (50) miles per hour at al1 times; THENCE Southeasterly a distance of approximately 1.952 miles, a speed Iimit of fifty-five (55) miles per hour at all times; THENCE Southeasterly a c'istance of approximately 0.850 miles to the intersection of Loop 469 (Lamar Avenue), a speed limit of fifty (50) miles per hour at all times; THENCE Easterly from the intersection of Loop 469 (Lamar Avenue) a distance of approximately 0.550 miles, a speed limit of fifty (50) miles per hour at all times; THENCE Easterly to the east city limits of Paris, a distance of approximately 0.313 miles, a speed limit of fifty-five (55) miles per hour at all times. On U.S. Highway 271 Southerly from the north city limits of Paris, a distance of approximately 0.35$ miles to the intersection of Loop 480 (North Main), a speed limit of forty-five (45) miles per hour at all times for Southbound traffic and a speed limit of fifty (50) miles pen cour at all times for Northbound traffic; and on U.S. Highway 271 Southeasterly from the intersection of Loop 469 (Lamar Avenue) a distance of approximately 0.700 miles, a speed limit of fifty-five (55) miles per hour at all times; THENCE Southeasterly a distance of approximately 1.000 miles, a speed limit of fifty (50) miles per hour at all times; THENCE Southeasterly to the east city limits of Paris, a distance of approximately 1.048 miles, a speed limit of fifty-five (55) miles per hour at all times. On F.M. Highway 79 Southe.asterly from the west city limits of Paris, for a distance of approximately 0.430 miles, a speed limit of forty-five (45) miles per hour at all times; THENCE Southerly a distance of approximately 0.630 miles, a speed limit of forty (40) miles per hour at all times;
