ORDINANCE N0. 3&-432 _ AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 34-4 OF SAID CODE; PROVIDING FOR AN INCREASE IN WATER AND SEWER TAP FEES; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $500.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATF. OF SEPTENIBER 1, 1988. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY UF PARIS: Section l. That Section 34-4 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended so that such shall read as follows: "Sec. 34.4. Application and fee for water and sewer taps. (a) Each person desiring a water or sewer tap within the City shall make application to the department of community development and shall pay a fee for each such tap as follows: (1) Each water tap in or across a hard-surfaced street, five hundred seventy dollars ($570.00). (2) Each sewer tap in or across hard- surfaced street, five hundred eighty doZlars ($580.00). (3) Each water tap in or across unimproved or dirt street, or in an area not in a public street, two hundred dollars ($200.00). (4) Each sewer tap in or across an unimproved or dirt street, or in an area not in a public street, one hundred ninety dollars ($190.00). (b) . . ,it Section 2. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a Misde- meanor, and upon conviction shall be fined in any sum not to exceed $500.00, and each and every day's continuance of any violation of the above enumerated section shall constitute and be deemed a separate offense. Section 3. Al1 ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective on September 1, 1988.
