<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Water Surface Elevation means the height, in <br /> relation to the National Geodetic Vertical Datum <br /> (NGVD) of 1929 (or other datum, where specified), <br /> af floods of various magnitudes and frequencies in <br /> the flood plains of coastal or riverine areas." <br /> Section 2. That Article 3, Section A of Appendix <br /> B-1 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, <br /> Te::as, be amended so that such shall read as follows: <br /> "ARTICLE 3. GENERAL PP.OVISIONS <br /> <br /> Section A. Lands to Which This Ordinance <br /> Applies. <br /> <br /> This ordinance shall apply to all areas of <br /> special flood hazard within the jurisdiction of <br /> the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, which includes <br /> its corporate limits and its extraterritorial <br /> jurisdiction which extends 5 miles from its <br /> corporate limits." <br /> Section 3. That Article 4 of Appendix B-1 of the <br /> Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be <br /> amended so that such shall read as follows: <br /> "ARTICLE 4. ADMINISTRATION <br /> <br /> Section A. Designation of Administrator. <br /> <br /> The Director of Community Development is <br /> hereby apgointed to administer and implement the <br /> provisioris of this ordinance with the advice of <br /> the City Ezigineer and the City Attorney. <br /> Section B. Duties and Responsibilities of the <br /> Administrator <br /> Duties and responsibilities of the <br /> Administrator shall include, but not be limited <br /> to, the followirig: <br /> <br /> (1) Maintain and hold open for public <br /> inspection all records pertaining to the <br /> provisions of this ordinance; <br /> (2) Review permit application to determine <br /> whether proposed building site will be <br /> reasonably safe from flooding; <br /> <br /> (3) Review, approve or deny all applications <br /> for development permits required by <br /> adoption of this ordinance; <br /> (4) Review permits for proposed development <br /> to assure that all necessary permits <br /> have been obtained from those Federal, <br /> State or local governmental agencies <br /> (including Section 404 af the Federal <br /> Water Pollution Control Act Amendments <br /> of 1972, 33 U.S.C. 1334) from which <br /> prior approval is required; <br /> (5) k'here interpretation is needed as to the <br /> exact location of the boundaries of the <br /> areas of special flood hazards (for <br /> example, where there appears to be a <br /> conflict between a mapped boundary and <br /> actual "'ield conditions) the <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> -6- <br />
