<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE N0. $7'018 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, <br /> PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE <br /> AMENDED BY ADDING PARAGRAPH (12) TO SECTION 6-21, CHAPTER 6 <br /> OF SAID CODE; PROVIDING FOR INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS FQR FUEL <br /> AND OIL SALES PF.F,MITTEES; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO <br /> EXCEED $200.00, F..XCEPT THAT A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED <br /> $1,000.00 IS IMPOSED FOR FIRE SAFETY OR ZONING VIOLATIONS; <br /> REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT <br /> HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF APRIL l, <br /> 1987. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> PARIS: <br /> Section 1. That Section 6-21, Chapter 6 of the Code <br /> of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended <br /> b, adding paragraph (12) so that such shall read as follows: <br /> <br /> "Sec. 6-21. Fuel and oil sales. <br /> <br /> <br /> (12) The operator must provide insurance as <br /> ~ollows: <br /> <br /> (a) Public liability insurance. Permittee <br /> shall maintain in force public liability <br /> insurance for personal injury or death <br /> and property damage in the minimum sum <br /> of one million dollars ($1,000,000.00) <br /> arising out of any one accident or other <br /> cause, with the City of Paris shown to <br /> be an additional insured thereon. <br /> (b) Third party excess liability insurance. <br /> Permittee shall require of the petroleum <br /> product supplier a policy of third party <br /> excess liability insurance in the <br /> minimum amount of five million dollars <br /> ($5,000,000.00), with the City of Paris <br /> shown to be an additional insured <br /> thereon." <br /> Section 2. Any person violating any of the pro- <br /> visions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a Class "C" <br /> Misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be fined in any sum <br /> not to exceed $200.00, except that a penalty not to exceed <br /> $1,000.00 is imposed for fire safety and zoning violations, <br /> and each and every day's continuance of any violation of the <br /> above enumerated section shall constitute and be deemed a <br /> separate offerise. <br /> Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in <br /> conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. <br /> Section 4.
