ORDINANCE N0. 2-096 AN ORDINANCE CONTAINING A HEARING ON PROPERTIES LOCATED IN THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, BELONGING TO VARIOUS OWNERS, AND AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL FINDING THE MATERIALS REMAINING ON THE PREMISES TO CONSTITUTE A NUISANCE AND TO BE A FIRE HAZARD TO LIFE AND PROPERTY AND A HAZARD TO THE LIFE AND WELFARE OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE AREA, AND ORDERING SAID RUBBISH, LUMBF.R AND REFUSE FROM THE STRUCTURES TO BE TORN DOWN AND REMOVED FROM THE PRENISES IN ORDER TO AIiATE SUCH NUISANCE. WHEREAS, a public hearing was called to order by the Mayor of the City of Paris, Billy Joe Burnett , on the 7th day of May, 1987, at 5:15 o'clock P.NI., in the Council Room, City Hall, in the City of Paris, Texas; and, WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Building Hazard Inspection Committee fixed a date far hearing on the resolutions rezerred to the Committee by the City Council on the 12th day of January, 1987, and said Committee fixed said hearing at 10:00 o'clock A.M. on the 17th day of April, 1987, and the hearing was had thereon. That proper notice was giveti to the owner or owners of the structures located at the following addresses: 368 2nd N.E., Lot 7, City Block 59 414 2nd N.E., Lot 5, City Block 59 564 7th N.W., Lot 23, Block 1, Hayes Addition 1355 W. Cherry Street, Lot 10, City Block 230 1242 llth N.W., Lot 7, City Block 101-A 965 Cedar, Lot 31, Block 4, Gibbons Park Addition 3335 & 3345 N.E. Loop 286, Lots l, lA, City Block 318 That at said hearing the Committee listed the structures involved and introduced pictures of the various portions of the structures and various portions of the premises involved and a list of discrepancies in the structures located thereon. That the Committee found that each of the above structures was in such state of deterioration and dilapidation as to create a serious fire hazard to life and property and that each of said buildings was dilapidated and was dangerous to life and property and dangerous structures to life and property. That said buildings arP in such a state of dilapidation and decay that none of said structures are capable of repair. It is further found that the condi- tioti of the premises and structures involved was such that the Committee recommended to the City Council that they be declared a nuisance and that the owners thereof be ordered by the City Council to tear down and remove the same from the lots involved. That said Committee filed a complete report of its hearing and its findings with the City Clerk of the City of Paris on the 24th day of April, 1987; and, WHEREAS, the City Council further finds that proper notice was given to the owner or owners of the structures hereinafter listed. That at said hearing on the 17th day of April, 1987, the Committee listed the structures involved and introduced pictures of the various portions af the structures and various portions of the premises involved and a list of discrepancies in the structures located thereon. That the Committee found that each of the hereinafter listed structures was in such state of deterioration and dilapidation as to create a serious fire hazard to life and property, and that each of said buildings was dilapidated and dangerous to life and property and dangerous structures to life and property. That the owners of the property appeared before the Corrmittee and requested time to repair the structures or the Committee found that the structures
